Meeting New Miami University (Oxford, OH) Headcoach - Michael Haywood

Hey Football One on One Fans,

By now, you know that I'm a proud Miami University alumni football player who played at MU from 1979-1980 and lettered in 1980. I enjoyed every moment of my practicing, scout and playing days at MU. I can still remember that day in 1978 in which I visited Headcoach Tom Reed in his office and asked if I could become a "walk-on" on the team. He responded "sure -- you are more than welcome to join the team."

After going through tough off-season conditioning and spring football, I finally proved to everyone on the team that I deserved to be on the team despite being the smallest player on the team. My teammates nicknamed me -- "Beetle" and I never looked back again -- I just enjoyed every moment thereafter being on the team and earning my letter. A few of my football teammates and coach who were on the team included Don Treadwell, Kirk Springs, Alvin Hall, Greg Jones, Howard Daniels, and Ronnie Brinson along with quarterback coach Jim Tressel. I had so much fun being apart of this team and tradition that it makes me feel prideful everytime I think about Miami Football.

Well, a few days ago, I had the chance to visit Oxford, Ohio and check out the stadium and the new Headcoach -- Michael Haywood. My family and I were actually visiting the campus for my daughter and after the visit, I had to go over to the football facilities and give congratulations to Headcoach Haywood.

As a Miami University football alumni, we give much respect and support to the new coach and coaching staff and wish they do well for the upcoming 2009 Miami Redhawk season!! Here is a link to to MU Football:

Hey Football One on One fans,

We are back again for the NFL season. It is just the beginning of summer and we had alot of news during the off-season of 2009. Of course, the NFL Combines were very entertaining. Then, we had the NFL Draft to enjoy with all the new talent coming out of college!! In addition to the new talent coming to the NFL, we have had all the transactions of players moving from team to team!!

Of course, there is the annual BRETT FAVRE DRAMA!! Now that Brett is gone from the Jets and just had surgery on his arm, the world is waiting for his return to the NFL -- that is with the Minnesota Vikings. Can you believe it? We are going through this Drama again with Brett!! Talk about an ego!!

Well, not to be out done, Football One on One wants to share out opinion about the latest controversy and minute-by-minute watch of the BRETT FAVRE DRAMA!! We have two shows. NFL Training Camp 2008 - Football One on One appeared on "Inside the Trenches" hosted by Ian Allen

Greetings Footballers!

Well, it's the start of the NFL Training camp season and Football One on One is ready for all the action!! Wow, can you believe that the NFL training camps are open now and so many players are trying to make each team? It's truly amazing to see how many new players show up on each team and as training camp proceeds, the difficulty of making a team particularly for all the free agents or low draft picks is extremely hard.

Yet there are those Superstar Football players who have signed their mega deals or negotiating a new contract during training camp who do not have to worry at all. Well, that brings us to the Brett Favre's 24hour circus!! Talk about a total ridiculous situation, this is it!

In our opinion, it's time for Brett Favre to move on to a new team and realize that Headcoach Mike Mcarthy, the management, and believe it or not many of the players are ready to move on with the new quarterback Aaron Rodgers. SIMPLE AS THAT! So that leaves Brett to strike a deal with another team such as the Tampa Bay Bucs. As of today, Wednesday 8/6/08, it is likely that he's headed to Tampa to play for my boy -- Jon Gruden. Brett will fit in well there in Tampa so he can perform his "magic" in Tampa -- at least for a couple of years! (At least try to perform his magic!!)

Overall, the Packers had to do what they had to do! This is a business and it's about protecting the team and the future -- no matter how the Packers do this season!

Oh yeah, the Beetle and Football One on One were guests on the new BLOG RADIO SHOW -- "INSIDE THE TRENCHES" featuring Ian Allen (former NY Giants and Philadelphia Eagles lineman). I had a great time listening to their show and providing my thoughts about which players to pay attention to this season -- Adrian Peterson and David Gerrad. I also mention that we are a bit concerned about the progress of JaMarcus Russell (QB for the Raiders). Talk about a big disappointment thus far. Well, we will be focusing in on JaMarcus Russell this preseason to see how far he is progressing and working for that mega-deal contract that he received last year.

What's Up Football Fans,

It's that time of the season -- right before Training camp in which all football players start to feel the edge and excitement in returning to play the game. Man, do I feel it also. Although I have been out of the game for several years, it's something about the month of July that makes you want to put on the PADS AGAIN!! YES, I FEEL THE EXCITEMENT STILL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!

It's also this time for all football fans whether its professional, college, high school, middle school and little league to feel the EXCITEMENT OF ANOTHER FOOTBALL SEASON!! I know you feel it. It's ok just PACE YOURSELF!!

Football One on One 2008 POST DRAFT DAY SHOW!

Greetings Draft Day Fans and Football Fanatics,

This is the Beetle from Football One on One and my analysis of this weekend's NFL Draft Day. What a two day event this has become. All the greatest athletes were well represented at the draft day show and all looked genuinely surprised to be selected by their respective teams!!

I watched the 2 day event looking at the NFL Network on the TV and on their live streamed broadcast on my computer!! They did an outstanding job -- Rich Eisen, Mike Mayott, Marshall Fauk, Jamie Dukes and my boy -- PRIME TIME DEION SANDERS!!

Well, after the first set of 6 college stars were picked all the MAJOR drama was over with at least from a tv standpoint. Yet the drama continued with all the wheeling and dealing by the NFL team GM's, coaches and owners! It was great to see how this process operates.

Additionally, THE FANS AT THE DRAFT DAY SHOW -- ARE FANTASTIC AND THEY MAKE THE BROADCAST WORTH WATCHING. They even booed Jake Long (Miami Dolpin) when he was introduced. Why? Because it's New York and New York Jets fans dislike anyone on the arch-rival AFC team like the Dolphins. Jake Long was surprised but hey this is the NFL.

On my Podcast Show, I talk about all the other interesting events and the players selected during the two day draft selection. I ALSO GIVE YOU WHICH PLAYER WILL BE THE 2008 NFL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR -- and I guarantee you that this player will SURPRISE EVERYONE!!

Football One on One's -- NFL Combine Podcast Show

Greetings NFL Fans,

Yes, it's the off-season for the NFL yet the action is better than ever. This past weekend as you know, the NFL held its Combine Spectacular weekend featuring all of the phenomenial college football players showcasing their skills in all types of position agility tests, weight lifting, vertical leaping ability and of course the 40 yard dash!!

Although the big name players like quarterback Matt Ryan (Boston College) and running back Darrien McFadden (Arkansas) had nothing to lose in showcasing their skills, other former college stars had so much more to gain. The surprise running back in the NFL Combine was no one other than -- Chris Johnson (East Carolina University). He ran a blazing 4.27 in the forty yard dash.

The day of the NFL 2007 Draft is always a day of uncertainty. All the predictors and prognosticators on which teams will draft which player is all at the end because this is the day in which the teams' GM, President, Owner, scouts and of course HeadCoach decide upon which players to draft. Boy, this first round day was FANTASTIC AGAIN!!

The entire Football One on One Crew (Beetle, Rise, Aurora, Sunnyside and FreeSpirit) watched the entire 1st round on the NFL NETWORK!! In fact, we recorded our 2007 NFL Draft Podcast Show immediately after the first round:

The NFL Network had -- by far -- the best coverage!! Yes, move over ESPN (Berman and Kipper) -- you guys are soooo predictable!

Well, on the NFL Network, Deion Sanders opened the proceedings and introduced the potential first five draftees! Then Rich Eisen, Marshall Faulk, Mike Mayott and former headcoach Mariucci performed an excellent entertaining reporting of all the events!!

Of course, JaMarcus Russell was the No: 1 Pick for the Raiders. Check out our broadcast to get the entire selection during the first round. The biggest deal and the team which pulled off a mega deal was the CLEVELAND BROWNS -- Getting -- Joe Thomas - Tackle (Wisconsin) and Brady Quinn - Quarterback (Notre Dame). Finally Brady Quinn got selected and he waited and waited to be selected number 22! Great job Browns and of course great job the Patriots organization!! They are soooo good!

Troy Smith Wins Heisman Trophy Award

Troy Smith - QB - The Ohio State University - wins the Heisman Trophy convincingly over the other nominees. With his family members in attendance and Headcoach Jim Tressel (ex-Miami University (OH) quarterback coach/offensive coordinator), Troy graciously accepted the Heisman. Talk about a guy who is determined and focused, Troy has to be one of the best role models you can imagine. He is humble and willing to do anything for his teammates and his team -- the Ohio State Buckeyes!! Also in attendance were as many of the Heisman Trophy winners as possible including two former Buckeye winners -- Eddie George and two-time winner Archie Griffin! Yes, it is good to be a Buckeye on this day and everyday!! Way to go Troy -- you represent the state, the Buckeye football team, your family and yourself -- WELL!!

College Football News - Coaches Fired - Why and What's Next?

Mike Shula, Headcoach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, was fired on November 27th after a 6-6 season and most importantly losing the last three games -- one of which against their state rival -- Auburn! That's a recipe for disaster and losing your job. The son of Hall of Fame coach -- Don Shula -- and fellow alumni of Alabama, Mike Shula simply never impressesd the key people who run the show in Alabama -- they are the athletic director Mal Moore and the university president Robert Witt. Ironically, Mike Shula just received a new six-year contract in May worth $1.55 million per year. Well, it looks like the Crimson Tide will be looking for a prime time college coach during the off-season. Just expect that they will find someone real soon!! Roll Tide!

Bo Schembeckler -- Mr. Michigan Wolverine!

By now, you have heard about the passing of Bo Schembeckler. Talk about a classic coach -- Bo was one of them. Although I never met Mr. Schembeckler, I do respect him immensely as a fan and as a former football player. Just to have seen him coach from a far and know how he gave his body and soul to the Michigan Wolverine team and the state of Michigan, I was totally impressed.

Since I grew up in Ohio, I was naturally a Woody Hayes fan!! The classic matchups between Bo and Woody were beyond the football game -- These were two legends -- Mentor and Protege!! Interestingly, I knew that Bo went to my alma mater -- Miami University (Ohio) and even coached at Miami University before going to Michigan!!

Then, when I lived in Michigan for five years, I was able to see much more of Bo. He was indeed a legend and he gave alot of his time to help so many players, the players families and the community. Bo was definitely a committed and emotional person!!

WE WILL MISS YOU BO!!

Ohio State #1 vs Michigan #2 - What a Game!!

I'm sure so many of you watched the Ohio State Buckeyes vs the Michigan Wolverines game played in Columbus, Ohio!! This game became a Classic game because of the aura of Bo Schebeckler passing and the tradition of the Woody Hayes coming to the surface again!!

This game actually lived up to all the hype it deserved. Head Coach Jim Tressel called an excellent game offensively. He kept the Buckeyes offense unpredictable by changing up the formations to a run offense then the five wide out set!! Troy Smith performed up to his high standard although I felt that he put too much pressure on himself causing the turnovers in the game.

Give it up the Wolverine for not giving up in this game and the running back Hart was spectacular in his moves and his tenacious running!! I'm sure Heach Coach Carr inspired the team with the tradition of Bo and what it means to play for Michigan!!

By the end of the game, the Buckeyes won and the Buckeye tradition continues to the next game -- the Game for Number #1 in the Fiesta Bowl 2007! Here we come!!

NFL Training 2006 Camps are Open!!

Steve McNair - QB - Ravens - made his debut with the Baltimore Ravens and looked very good! I'm very impressed in what I hear out of Ravens camp and it is just a matter of time before Air McNair is back in full flight!

Ben Roethlishberger - QB - Steelers - made his debut with the Steelers by running the first training camp drills. The first drills are a test for each player to determine whether they are in enough shape to put on the pads. Big Ben completed the drills and then was swarmed by all the media at Steeler camp!

KeyShawn Johnson - WR - Panthers - made his debut with the Carolina Panthers and worked hard in working on his pass receiving routes. Since the Panthers are projected by many football experts and are on the cover of Sports Illustrated to win the Superbowl, Keyshawn tempered the media and fans that it is way to early to projecting the Panthers to be in the Superbowl this year. Keyshawn speaks from experience because he said this is exactly what happened in Tampa Bay with him for several years until they won in a few years ago. So hold the horses or better yet hold the Panthers until the season actually begins!

Terrell Owens - WR - Cowboys - made his debut with the Cowboys and continued to try his best to get the Cowboys fanatic fans to accept him. Because of this tenuous past relationship against the Cowboys, Terrell will have to do alot of extra public relations ploys to get the fans and the very tough Dallas media to support him. Perhaps a very logical connection to my Football One on One blog and website is my long-time passion for Electric Football!! How many of you know what Electric Football is and how many of you have played it!! Well, I'm sure there are many of you and I have come across the great community of Electric Football enthusiasts like myself who have continued this tradition. They are affiliated with Miggle Toys (Tudor Electric Football -- www.miggle.com) and they have taken Electric Football to another level!! Just the way I like it!

Recently, I acquired my Electric Football set from my Mother and gave it to my son! I haven't played electric football in over 30 years so you can imagine my excitement. Well, now it is apart of my son's activity and fun and of course, I have returned to one of my passions of ALL TIME - ELECTRIC FOOTBALL!! TALK ABOUT BACK IN THE DAY FUN!! THIS IS IT.

By now, you have seen all the news reports indicating that Superbowl Steeler Quarterback and former Miami University quarterback sustain multiple face, head and body injuries in a motorcylce accident. After 7 hours of surgery (upper jaw, teeth and face) from 4 different surgeons, Ben responded well and it appears that he will be leaving the hospital within 4 - 5 days.

His condition has been upgraded to also include that he will be ready for the Steelers upcoming season! Wow, that's alot to accomplish within a short period of time, but if there is anyone who can do it, it is Big Ben!!

All of our prayers and blessings go to Big Ben, his mother and family!
Next time Ben -- wear a helmet or don't ride a motorcycle again. You can't predict how the other driver will drive!

Breaking Down the Game Plan for Both Teams:
Seattle Seahawks Game Plan:

First and foremost, let me give the ultimate credit to Seahawks appearance in the Superbowl to Headcoach Mike Holmgren. When Holmgren first arrived in Seattle, he had to get rid of alot of veterans who were hanging around just taking up space and not performing up to a level which the Seahawks could really achieve. That's why Shawn Springs was traded to the Redskins, Koren Robinson was traded to the Vikings, Chad Brown sent to the Patriots and Jerry Rice let go. I'm sure it was diffficult for Holmgren to make these moves, but he had to in order to get this team to compete at a higher level. With the additions of wide receivers Joe Jurevicius, Peter Warrick and cornerback Andre Dyson, Holmgren added not only security to this team but game changers to this team. Overall, Holmgren added new leadership and speed to this team -- that's what was desperately needed for this westcoast team. So I give up much PROPS to Headcoach Mike Holmgren! Additionally, I believe he is the only Headcoach to take two different teams to the Superbowl -- The Packers and now the Seahawks!!
Offensively, the game plan for the Seahawks will be to attack the edges (corners) and play a controlled running attack. In order for Shaun Alexander to be effective running, Hasselbeck will be asked to throw short dump off passes to his wide receivers on first and second downs! Bobby Engram, Peter Warrick and in particular Joe Jurevicious will receive alot of short, quick out and slant patterns to move the ball down the field. Then on third down, Hasselbeck willl give to Alexander on quick trap plays off the guard and tackle. Then once these running plays are halfway successful, they will run the power left or power right running plays!! Holmgren will also have Hasselbeck roll the pocket left and right in order to give Hasslebeck time to throw down the field and complete 10 to 15 yard passes. Fortunately for Hasselbeck, he has improved dramatically with his footwork with the help and expert advice of quarterback coach Jim Zorn!! Yes, that's right -- the original and first quarterback of the Seahawks -- Jim Zorn!! So now with Hasselbeck increased mobility and maturity as a quarterback, Holmgren feels confident that Hasselbeck can make plays happen by rolling out and not just sitting in the pocket! This has expanded Holmgren play calling and it will pay off in this game. So watch for a very controlled type of offensive from the Seahawks throughout this game. Once they get the controlled game in full effect, Hasselbeck will go deep to Peter Warrick or Jurevicious!! The key player on offense for the Seahawks will be Jurevicious!! Watch for him on the one-on-one with the Steelers defensive backs!!
As for Hasselbeck, he will have to maintain his composure throughout this game. Believe me, the Steelers will be throwing everything at him and he will have to step up BIG TIME to handle this type of defense. If Hasselbeck maintains his composure for the most part, he will be effective on several key third down plays. However, if he gets rattled, Hasselbeck is very susceptible for throwing an interception or two!! Will he throw an interception or two in this game, yes he will! Yet they will not be as costly as you may think! Hasselbeck will be able to bounce back because of his veteran leadership and keep the Seahawks in this game!
As for Shaun Alexander, he will have an average game. I do not think he will be the outstanding running back in this game because the Steelers have too much speed on defense to hold him in check! Indeed, Alexander will be effective on the quick trap plays so that he can get pass the line of scrimmage and then excellerate! Alexander is deceptively fast so do not think he cannot out run defensive players -- he can!! Alexander will also be successul on cutback plays because of the fast pursuit of the Steelers players! Yet the Steelers will contain Alexander throughout most of the game! Alexander has had a wonderful regular season but he will have to really STEP IT UP in the Superbowl and put his signature on this game. He is quite capable of doing this, but I think the Steelers have a better game plan to contain him!!
Defensively, the Seahawks game plan will be controlled blitzing and short-coverage zones! Defensive coordinator Ray Rhodes has had to step down a bit because of a mild stroke and give his defensive playcalling to another assistant coach! This assistant coach (I do not know who he is) is doing a great job! The Seahawks are blitzing and changing up their defensive looks at the right moment to confuse opposing quarterbacks. They will do the same against Roethlisberger and confuse him several times. They cannot allow Big Ben to stand up in the pocket and pick them apart. That's why the Seahawks will come with controlled blitzes up the middle -- not around the sides to apply pressure to Roethlishberger!! The Seahawks will also play a short-coverage zones to stop the short passes to Hines Ward and Randle El! In fact, the Seahawks secondary may give up a long pass or two, just to control the Steelers short passes! Believe it or not, this will work! The Seahawks know (as well as the rest of the country) that the Steelers always try a couple of gadget plays so they will be ready for it!
The strength of the Seahawks is centered on one person -- Lofa Tatupu -- rookie linebacker -- who calls all the defenses on the field. Tatupu is phenomenial!! He is a born leader and has blazing speed for the linebacker. Watch for Tatupu to make a pivital play in this game and cause the Seahawks to believe in themselves even more!! Tatupu is the real deal!!
The Seahawks defensive line is very solid and will apply pressure to Big Ben! Yet it will be the secondary of the Seahawks which will play a very significant role in the success or failure of this defense. The secondary is much more solid and in your face than you think. I like how they play the physical game!! That's why they will play a short-coverage zone at first then switch to man-on-man once they feel more confident that they can match up with the Steelers wideout! This will be a great matchup throughout the game!! The Seahawks defense has come to play this year and in this game, it will not be any different!

Pittsburgh Steelers Game Plan:

Well, they are back again -- The Pittsburgh Steelers -- in the Superbowl! It's this tradition or what!! As you know the Steelers terrible towl will be in full effect! As for Headcoach Bill Cowher, the only NFL coach with the longest tenure, he is deserving to be in this position again. Yes, I said it!! Even though I have been tough on Bill Cowher in the past, I give it up to him for maintaining the Steel tradition yet also changing the style of the offense and defense this past year in order for them to make here in the big game!! Yes, even Cowher changed his philosophy in playing this game and that's why the Steelers are here! In essence, Cowher gave more autonomy to his offensive coordinator, Ken Whisenhunt (who will be a Headcoach next year with another NFL team -- Raiders!) so that the team can open up the playbook and get the ball in more of his skilled players. As for defense, Cowher gave full control to Dick LeBeau and it has truly paid off!! Indeed, this Steeler team is not like your old Steelers -- they are the new, faster, wide-open, taking-chances, Steelers!! That's the way it has to be in the new NFL!! So I give up BIG TIME PROPS TO Headcoach Bill Cowher for believing in his assistant coaches and giving it up more to his skilled players!! Way to go Cowher and even your classic Cowher look (as he thrust out his chin and give his emotional sneer) will pay off in the biggest game of Cowher's coaching career!
Offensively, the Steelers' game plan will be to continue the wide open attack -- passing on 1st and 2nd down and then controlled running with Bettis, Parker and Haynes. No this is not your tradition Steeler offense anymore!! With the most valuable player of the team and my fellow MIAMI UNIVERSITY GRADUATE (Go MU -- Yes, I played football at MU too -- it feels good!)-- My boy -- Big BEN ROETHLISHBERGER -- the Steelers are in great hands! Big Ben has ELEVATED HIS GAME BIG TIME AND MATURED MORE THAN A NUMBER OF SO-CALLED EXPERTS EVER THOUGHT!! Ben is playing within himself yet is also challenging himself in each game!! Ben's accuracy is back as well as his mobility! This has made a big difference for him during the second half of the season and he has proved it every week. This game will not be any difference!! You heard it first here -- BEN ROETHISHBERGER WILL BE THE MVP OF THE SUPERBOWL!! He will be that good in this game and Ben will take over and execute to Hines Ward, Randle El and use his tightend much more -- Heath Miller! Watch for key catches to Health Miller because the Seahawks defense will forget about covering him!! Ben will have special plays to get Miller the ball!! Ben will also stand tall in the pocket and will get the time to throw deep down the field. In fact, the game plan against the Seahawks cornerback is to attack them! So watch for Randle El and Cederick Wilson to make big time deep catches! Ben knows that the Seahawks will try to blitz him up the middle so he will be ready for that controlled blitzing gameplan of the Seahawks. Once Ben settles down a little bit (because of jitters and his first time in the big game), Roethlisberger will take OVER this game!! He will execute short, in between, long and even run for Superbowl touchdown!!! Yes BIG BEN ROETHLISHBERGER WILL SHINE IN THIS GAME LIKE NO OTHER YOUNG QUARTERBACK HAS IN THE SUPERBOWL!! This is the guy that I saw at Miami University when he was a junior and I said then he will be the NEXT JOHN ELWAY!! Oh by the way, Ben's idol is -- guess who -- that's right -- John Elway!! So this will be a day for Big Ben to SHOWCASE HIS SKILLS!!
Oh yeah, there are other key players on the Steelers offense! Of course, Jerome Bettis (native Detroiter) who is coming home and will definitely have a solid game and score three touchdowns at Ford Field!! His parents have gone to all of Bettis' games and this one will be extra special!! If anyone else deserves the MVP, it is Jerome Bettis!! He has come a long way and this soon-to-be Hall of Famer deserves all the accomplishments he can get! Bettis knows how to get the yards and he will bring all the emotion and perserverance and LEADERSHIP to the Steelers team like no one else!! Bettis is a complete TEAM player and he will elevate the rest of the players!! MUCH PROPS TO JEROME -- THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, ATTITUDE, EMOTION AND LEADERSHIP! BETTIS WILL GET THE JOB DONE!!
Then there are Randle El, Hines Ward and the incredible offensive line of the Steelers!! The Steelers offensive line will rise to this occasion and make the holes and protect the line better than they have all season long!! Yes, it will be the great offensive line that will make the difference in the trenches!! Of course, Hines Ward will make his clutch catches in the game and keep the chains moving. Yet it will be my boy Randle El who will electrify the Superbowl crowd and make the secondary guessing how to contain him!! Indeed, the Seahawks did a great job against the Panthers Steve Smith, but they only had Steve Smith! Now it is the full package and they will be desperately trying to catch up with the Steelers wideouts!! In the end, the wide receiving core will get their catches when it counts!!
Defensively, the Steelers' game plan will be to BLITZ, BLITZ AND MORE BLITZ!! That's it -- simple defensive game plan and Dick LeBeau knows how to get to Hasselbeck. The Steelers will try not to let Hasselbeck to get comfortable in the pocket and they will play their corners tight so that the Seahawks dump-off passes will not be as effective! Joey Porter will be coming from the outside blitzing and then there is TROY POLAMALU!! THIS GUY IS SUPER PHENOMENIAL!! HIS TENACITY AND SPEED TO GET TO THE BALL IS INCREDIBLE!! Polamalu will be all over the field covering Juriviceius and Engram. Then he will come with a disguised blitz on the side to catch Hasselbeck!! Watch for Polamalu to be the standout as well as Joey Porter to be the standout on defense for the Steelers. The rest of Steelers secondary has also stepped up and they will play tight coverage all on the field!
In the end, the STEELERS DEFENSE will have too much speed for the Seahawks offense!! The Seahawks will not be able to run effectively throughout the game, the Steelers will also execute their two man defensive line and drop back 9 (I love this defensive scheme) and then catch Hasselbeck off guard with a MAX BLITZ!!! In the end, Hasselbeck will not have enough time to execute any long plays and will be forced to throw on the edges or run to the edges with Alexander!! This is where the Seahawks gameplan will not be able to handle the Steelers gameplan thereby allowing the Steelers to take control of this game by the middle of fourth quarter!! Yes, by the middle of the fourth quarter, the Steelers defense will be executing at a very high level (causing more turnovers) and confusing the Seahawks offense even more! Yes, even the STEEL CURTAIN OF THE 70s (Mean Joe Greene, L.C. Greenwood, Ernie Holmes and Dwight White) will be proud of the new STEEL CURTAIN (Aaron Smith, Casey Hamilton, Kimo von Oelhoffen). Yes the Steelers are playing a 3 - 4 defense and the Seahawks are not used to playing a 3 -4 defense!! THIS DEFENSE WILL CHANGE HOW OTHERS PLAY DEFENSE NEXT YEAR -- THEY WILL PLAY THAT GOOD!!

Overall the final score: STEELERS 27 - SEAHAWKS 13!

NFC and AFC CONFERENCE TITLE GAMES - I HAVE THE ANSWER WHICH TEAMS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!

NFL PLAYOFF GAMES - NFC AND AFC CONFERENCE TITLE GAMES

CAROLINA PANTHERS VS SEATTLE SEAHAWKS - UPSET SPECIAL!! - Panthers win by 3 points because of Steve Smith!! That's right, I picked the Panthers over the Seahawks for this NFC Championship game. This will be a classic match-up between two teams that deserve to be in the NFC Championship game and each team is playing their best ball! Yet I still have to go with the effect and impact of Steve Smith who has single handingly put the Panthers on his back and carried them this far and now to the Superbowl. There is no defensive back or defensive scheme that can control Steve Smith now!! He is unstoppable whether in open space or double-covered. He makes things happen and no defensive backs are playing up to his level. In particular, the Seahawks defensive backs will not be able to stop him. Granted, they do play a physical corner and cover pretty well, yet when it comes to covering Steve Smith, they will not be able to contain him throughout the game. As you know, it will only take that one play for Steve Smith to break it for a long touchdown!! Oh yeah, there are other players on the Panthers team like Jake Delhomme! Jake must come into this game with a level head and not get too hyped about this game. I believe he will and it appears that Jake is more confident than ever and executing his passes much better. Although Deshaun Foster is out the rest of the year at running back, Goins will step up and take his place and execute on most of the running plays! So don't dismiss the Panthers running attack. As for the Panthers defense, it is GOOD!! They are very strong on the front line with Peppers leading the way!! The linebackers are solid and their secondary makes the hits and the picks!! All in all, Headcoach John Fox has truly stepped this team up BIG TIME and he is taking calculated chances to get this team to the Superbowl. Well guess what -- it's paying off!! That's why I give the edge to the Panthers.
Yet the Seahawks are definitely the team that is the favorite. The Seahawks are playing at home and the Seahawk fans are great!! They truly have a major advantage playing in this rowdy stadium with nothing but Seahawk Green!! Headcoach Mike Holmgren has done a masterful job of getting all his players to believe in themselves and elevating their game. Perhaps the best example of Holmgren's philosophy and style is Matt Hasselbeck!! Hasselbeck truly impressed me last week when Stephen Alexander went down and Hasselbeck carried the team for a win! Hasselbeck executed when the Seahawks desperately needed him to step up and he did!! Additionally, the Seahawks defense has been very impressive and they have one of the most impressive rookie middle linebackers!! Tatupu (?) is already and will become a major Superstar in this league!! Wow -- this guy is real good! Keep an eye on Tatupu to make a pivotal play in this game! Yet the Seahawks secondary is their weakspot and that will cost them in the end!!
This will be a great game even better than all of us think it will be!!

PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS DENVER BRONCOS - Broncos win by 3 points because of homefield advantage. Now this will be a superclassic game between two of the best well-known coaches in the league -- Mike Shanahan verses Bill Cowher! First, I have to say that Cowher and his staff did an excellent game plan against the Colts last week and surprised me with an outstanding game plan offensively and defensively! I'm sure this week Cowher and his staff will have another excellent game plan against Jake Plummer and the well-balanced Denver Broncos offense. The Steelers offense has stepped it up and my boy Big Ben Roethlisberger, (Go Miami U - Oxford, OH) will execute again with an air of confidence!! Ben has matured even more this past few games and is getting the ball where it needs to be!! He is showing signs of a true veteran quarterback and makes the plays again and again just when you think he can't do it!! Well, Big Ben will do it again. He will give the ball off for the running attack and then hit Hines Ward and my boy Randle El for the controlled passing attack. Then there is the Bus -- Jerome. The Bus is Mr. Dependable (yet last week he almost blew it on the goal line if it wasn't for Big Ben's tackle!) and of course Jerome will make a couple of crucial first downs for the Steelers!! -- No doubt about it!! Yet all in all will the Steelers score enough points to win this game!! I don't think so! The reason why --- THE BRONCOS DEFENSE!! As for the Steelers defense, they are a very good bunch who know how to put on the hits -- particularly with -- Joey Porter and Troy Polamalu!! Watch for these two guys to get to Jake Plummer on several occasions!! Talk about blitzing from the edges -- the Steelers will attempt to contain Plummer on his roll-outs!! Yet it will not be enough!!

As for the Broncos, it will all come down on Jake Plummer's shoulders. This is the game and the year for Jake Plummer. This veteran quarterback looks very comfortable in the pocket and particularly when he is rolling out left and right!! In the middle of season, I didn't know if Jake could continue this run, yet now he has proven it a bit and looks even more comfortable in the Broncos offense. Headcoach Shananhan believes in Jake to make big plays and now with a very solid running attack (Anderson and Bell), Jake can do. Of course, my boy Rod Smith will do some serious damage as well as Lelie!! The key for the Broncos offense is movement right, left and screen passes!! If the Broncos keep their offense diversified, they will move the ball down the field!! If not, it maybe a long day for the Bronocos offense. The most important thing for the Broncos is not to press, if their offense doesn't click at first. Be patient and wait for the game to come to them. As for the Broncos defense, there will be two guys who will make a difference -- JON LYNCH and CHAMP BAILEY!! Jon Lynch is playing his best safety in several years and will be in mixing up the blitzes and coverages to confuse Roethlisberger on several occasions!! Lynch will be that X factor on the defense!! Lynch is in a groove right now and he playing with alot on instinct!! That's scary! In addition, another player who playing with alot of instinct is my boy and distant cousin --- CHAMP BAILEY!! YES, CHAMP BAILEY WILL GET ANOTHER INTERCEPTION IN THIS GAME AND TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE!! Champ is playing out of this WORLD so watch him cover either Randle El or Hines Ward and make a play! Yes, there will be a time where Champ gets burnt, but before you know it, Champ BAILEY WILL MAKE A KEY PLAY!!

In the end, the Broncos kicker -- Jason Elam -- will kick the final 3 points to win the game for the crazy, wild Broncos fans!! CLASSIC GAME NO MATTER WHICH TEAM YOU PICK!!

Week #17 Predictions

Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets - Bills win because of a revitalized attitude with Kelly Holcomb! Indeed the Bills are a difficult team to figure out this season and this game will be an example of their season. Last week, the Bills played the Bengals exceptionally well and simply out-played them. With Sam Wyche as the offensive coordinator, he knew exactly how to exploit the Bengals. In this game, the Bills will do the same -- they will be innovative on offense with McGahee and Eric Moulds and then with Kelly Holcomb stepping up as the true veteran, quality quarterback that they need! As for the Bills defense, they will automatically step up with Troy Vincent -- still playing solid free safety position and Lawyer Malloy bringing the physical game. As for the Jets, this is the last game for Herman Edwards as Headcoach because he is burnt out from the New York media and now he realizes the Jets have NO TALENT on their team! This will also be the last games for VINNY TESTEVERDE AND TY LAW!! Yes, it's time for the LAW TO BE RETIRED (Even though he looked good against the Patriots getting that interception from Tom Brady and running for a touchdown -- Do it Ty!).

Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots - Patriots win because they are the Patriots -- simple as that!! Indeed the Dolphins have brought back some respectability to their team and Headcoach Saban should be recognized for his coaching ability. Did you see that even Ricky Williams is running effectively now!! Yet the Dolphins now have to face a focused Patriots teams. The Patriots have their Playoff face on and particularly Headcoach Bill Belichick!! Belichick is determined to get the most out of this team and he is mentally SCHEMING for the playoffs right now!! Although it will be a great challenge, Belichick is still the man for SCHEMING AN OFFENSE AND DEFENSE against any opponent. Fortunately, for the Patriots and of course my boy Tom Brady, they are getting back in the groove just in time. As with all seasons, it is final third of the season which matters most!! All in all, the Patriots will be ready for the playoffs!

Baltimore Ravens vs Cleveland Browns - Browns win because they are playing in Cleveland simple as that! Well, the Ravens are finally putting together a few decent wins! Quarterback Kyle Boller appears to have solidified his position as starting and returning quarterback next year also!! In addition, even Headcoach Brian Billick received a renewal of his contract to return next year!! Well all of that is good and fine for NOW!! The Ravens are still a one-dimensional team as long as Boller is the quarterback as well as Billick is the headcoach!! This team is still SUBPAR AND HAVE NO IMAGINATION ON OFFENSE!! Since this is the last game of the year, the Ravens will come out very hard to impress the Cleveland fans. However, the real Browns will come to play on this last game as well!! Although the Browns rookie quarterback is no match, it will be the rest of the Browns team that will come to play for respect and give the Ravens and Brian Billick something to think about during the off-season. Oh yeah, my boy DEION SANDERS WILL PLAY HIS LAST GAME AND RETIRE AFTER THIS YEAR. PRIME TIME DEION WAS THE BEST CORNERBACK IN THE LEAGUE DURING HIS PRIME WITHOUT A DOUBT!! THANKS DEION FOR SKILLS AND THE ENTERTAINMENT!!

Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs - Chiefs win by 14 points because of the Vermeil factor! It looks like the heat is on Vermeil and his coaching staff by the end of the season so that's why I think the Chiefs will play very well in this game. The Chiefs have returned to their power running game with Larry Johnson and that's what they needed to do all along. Too bad, it's too late and Vermeil and the coaching staff will pay the price for it. What's going to happen in the off-season for this team is your guess too! Yet, Vermeil must take the heat for this one because this is a very talented Chiefs team and there is no reason why they should not be going to the playoffs. As for the Bengals, oh well here we go again. The Bengals have bought into the Cincinnati hype and now are not playing like they used to. This is exactly what happens to a number of Bengals teams in the past. The Bengals must come out and play well in this game because it does carry over to the playoffs. Headcoach Marvin Lewis is very worried about his team's psychic and he knows that it will hurt them in the end if they don't get all the distractions taken care of!

Detroit Lions vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Steelers win by 20 points because the Steel is ready for the playoffs! Talk about an easy schedule for the Steelers, this is the one!! The Steelers finished the seasons with 3 subpar teams and now have gained the momentum back into the playoffs. This is exactly what Headcoach Bill Cowher anticipated. The Steelers will rest some key players but they are definitely in the right attitude to make the run deep into the playoffs!! As for the Lions, quarterback Joey Harrington needs to show his stuff on the road and just maybe another team will be interested in him next year. The Lions will need to make major changes in the off-season and fortunately Harrington is the start. In fact, the first one who needs to leave the organization is what the fans of Detroit say -- FIRE MILLAN!!

Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers - 49ers win by 7 points because they playing at home and for pride. Wow, is this game for the worst record in the league or what? The Texans have been completely disappointing and Headcoach Don Capers should be fired! There are too many veterans on this team and they have had enough time!! David Carr needs to sit for a year and learn from a veteran quarterback! As for the 49ers, they are coming around and playing with an attitude! I like what I see with the 49ers and they have good young talent! Watch for them to bring in some quality veterans during the off-season in order to elevate their team faster!!

Arizona Cardinals vs Indianapolis Colts - Colts win by 10 points even with their 2nd and 3rd string players. Wow, talk about a very emotional rollercoaster ride for the Colts. You gotta feel really sorry for them with the events surrounding Tony Dungy and his family. Then right before that tragic loss, they loss their chance for a perfect season. The only thing you can do in a situation like this is TO TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME!! What effect these events will have on the Colts playoff season, only time will tell! As for the Cardinals, Headcoach Dennis Green needs help on offense and defense! He has a very talented young team but they need veteran leadership! Let's hope that Green takes it easy during the offseason because he doesn't look too good these days!

Tennessee Titans vs Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaguars win by 14 points because they are headed to the playoffs. The Jaguars have been steadily elevating their game and it looks like they are putting it together. I like what I see with the Jaguars and they are constantly being underestimated. As for the Titans, this is the very last game for my boy STEVE MCNAIR in a Titan uniform. MCNAIR IS STILL THE MAN and should end up on a quality team that needs a top-notched quarterback -- like Cleveland Browns or Detroit Lions!!

Denver Broncos vs San Diego Chargers - Chargers win by 10 points because the Broncos will play their starters -- simple as that! Now that the Broncos are the divisional champion, they do not need this game. Thus, they will rest their major starters including Anderson so that he can be fresh for the playoffs. As for the Chargers, Headcoach Schotteiheimer talked too much stuff at the beginning of the season and now his talented team is sitting out of the playoffs. This is an embarrassement for this organization. All-Pro LaDanian Thomlinson doesn't deserve this but what can he do! As usual, Marty will promise alot during the off-season but will he deliver? Time will tell!!

New York Giants vs Oakland Raiders - Giants win by 14 points because they need this win to make it to the playoffs!! This is a very big game for the GGGGGGMen who are blowing it at the end of the season. Despite all the individual accomplishments during the season, the GGGGGGMen are struggling big time. Is it Eli Manning fault? Yes, it is partially but I would have to say it is more coaching than anything!! Headcoach Tom Coughlin needs to use his talented team and stop being ultra conservative. If he plays conservative in this game, the Raiders will take it!! As for the Raiders.....ugggggggg -- lots of work in the off-season and Norv Turner will need to get rid of alot of veteran players including Kerry Collins!

St. Louis Rams vs Dallas Cowboys -- Cowboys win by 14 points and somehow but miss the playoffs!! Yes, the Cowboys looked pretty good at the beginning of the season but lost focus in the middle and at the end. Will Drew Bledsoe be back -- yes!! Will Keyshawn Johnson be back -- Yes!! Will Bill Parcells be back --- NO!! That's right -- watch for Bill Parcells to RETIRE and for Jimmy Jones to bring back HEADCOACH JIMMY JOHNSON!! THAT'S RIGHT -- YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST -- JIMMY JOHNSON IS RETURNING TO THE COWBOYS NEXT SEASON!! You know how the Texas does everything big -- well this will be a big one. Now you can say -- HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS -- WITH Headocoach Jimmy Johnson!! By the way, my boy Marshall Faulk will not retire and will show up with another team next year!! The Marshall Plan continues!

Washington Redskins vs Philadelphia Eagles -- Eagles win by 3 points because they want to be a spoiler to the Redskins!! Wow, what a critical game for the Redskins and Headcoach Joe Gibbs. Somehow, they have been fortunate that the other eastern conference teams have faultered and now they are in the driver's seat. Well, here comes the Eagles without McNabb and Owens and they will bring the PAIN!! The Redskins are playing very confident but they haven't played a mad and Eastcoast team like the PHILLY EAGLES!! YES, THE EAGLES AND PHILLY FANS WITH THEIR PHILLY CHEESESTEAKS will be ready for Joe Gibbs' over-hyped Redskins team!! The one player who will get the most revenge in this game is JEREMIAH TROTTER (former Redskins who was dumped). This will be a very physical game and now with Patrick Ramsey getting the start for the Redskins -- watch for Philly to deliver the pain via Trotter and Brian Dawkins!!

Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings - Vikings win by 3 points because they will deliver a message to these Bears!! Will the Vikings players play for Headcoach Mike Tice in perhaps his final game -- I think they will!! The Vikings surprised everyone, including me, on how they turned their season around so fast. Unfortunately, they are not going to make the playoffs and the DAAAABears will. There is enough pride still left on the Vikings team to deliver a message to the Bears and others -- the Vikings have talent and can still bring their A game. By far, the MVPs for the Vikings are Koren Robinson (WR) and my boy Brad Johnson!!

Seattle Seahawks vs Green Bay Packers - Packers win by 3 points because the Seahawks will rest most of their players and Headcoach Holmgren will tell his players to let Brett to get off!! Talk about an irony of a game, this one is it!! Ex-Packer Coach Mike Holmgren faces his former team and Brett Favre with all the controversy surrounding Brett and his new press conference regarding his future!! By the way, BRETT WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR AND DESERVES TO COMEBACK AS A STARTER TO FINISH HIS CAREER -- SIMPLE AS THAT!! Watch out for the Seahawks and Holmgren to represent the NFC in the SUPERBOWL -- They are that Good with Stephen Alexander!!

Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons - Falcons win by 14 points because they are mad and out of the playoffs!! The over-hyped Falcons and Michael Vick are out of the playoffs and feel very embarrassed (and they should!!). Headcoach Jim Mora Jr. needs to get a hold of this team but he can't. The media and the aura of Vick will not comply with his philosophy!! As for the Panthers, they need to diversify and use their talent much more if they are going to do anything in the playoffs (that's if they make it!!)

New Orleans Saints vs Tampa Bay Bucs - Bucs win by 20 points because the Saints are imploding again and DON'T CARE! This will be an example of a team, coaches and players who do not care about this game. It's too bad what happened to New Orleans and the people of New Orleans -- simply tragic. Yet there will not be any sympathy for this team during the off-season as well as this game. The Bucs and Jon Chucky Gruden will get this win and make the playoffs!!

Buffalo Bills vs Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals win by 17 points because the Bills have given up and the Bengals are preparing for the playoffs!! Yes, Marvin Lewis has his team elevating at the right time and everyone is doing their part now!! It's not just a couple of players elevating their game, it is now everyone is elevating their game. From Carson Palmer to Rudi Johnson and even to Tory James, the Bengals are in the upper-tier of the AFC. As for the Bills, their problems revolve inside the organization. In fact, they IMPLODED in the middle of the season and now it looks like MAJOR changes will happen to this team in the offseason!! Watch for Eric Moulds to leave the team as well as other named players!! In addition, the coaching will have to go through drastic changes and yes -- Sam Wyche -- Ex-Bengals coach -- will leave the organization and headed to a Headcoaching job in the NFL next year! If Sam doesn't get a Headcoaching job next year - watch for him to be take the Headcoaching job here in Buffalo!! As for this game, it's all in the Bengals Jungle!!

Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins - Dolphins win by 14 points because they are believing in themselves and now have a strategy -- offensively and defensively!! Whichever quarterback starts or plays the longest (either Gus Ferrotte and Sage Rosenfeld), the Dolphins have weapons on offense that have stepped up and their defense continues to bring the pain with Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor and Keven Carter!! The Dolphins will rolll in this game. As for the Titans, these are the last few days for STEVE MCNAIR in a Titans uniform!! Believe me, Steve is ready for a move to a new team so do not be surprised to see him Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints or the St. Louis Rams!! Yes, my boy McNair will find a good young team to make his final run to the Superbowl!!

New England Patriots vs New York Jets - Patriots win by 10 points because the Jets are finishing out the season! Now that the Patriots are getting healthier and several players have returned, the Patriots look poised to make a solid run to finish out the season. This game is particularly special because it will be the last MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL GAME ON ABC! THE 25 YEAR TRADITION IS COMING TO AN END SO WATCH FOR ALL THE BIG PUBLICITY AND THE CEREMONIAL FINALE OF MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!! Yes, Tom Brady is officially back in the groove! By the way, Brady made the AFC All-Pro team again -- need I say more!

Minnesota Vikings vs Baltimore Ravens - Ravens win by 1 point because the Ravens defense will make another statement. Last Monday night, the Ravens defense shut down Brett Favre so they will most likely be feeling pretty good about themselves. Yet these are the Vikings and the Vikings are far superior than the Packers. The Vikings will be ready for this game yet it will be the Ravens defense and my boy DEION SANDERS who will continue to elevate the defense in his last 2 games before he retires! As for Brad Johnson of the Vikings, he will still execute but it will far more difficult against this Ravens' defense. Finally, there is Kyle Boller. Yes, he had a great game against the Packers but this week will be a different story! He is under the microscope so let's see how he performs!

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns - Browns win by 3 points because of their defense. Yes the Browns and not the Steelers. This is one of my UPSET SPECIALS!!. It's a classic matchup between these two teams and there is no love lost in this game. The Steelers will be physical and run the ball again and again because of the elements. The Browns will be physical and run the ball again and again because of the elements also. Yet the Steelers willl somehow get the edge with their defense causing a turnover on the young Cleveland Browns quarterback. Big Ben Roethlisberger better be careful and not injury his thumb anymore because it may get seriously damaged in this game. All in all, the Browns and the Dogpound of the Cleveland stadium will be in good form!!! Watch out for the dogs in this potential upset on lake Erie!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texans - Jaguars win by 7 points because they are more talented. The Jaguars still have a very slim chance to make the playoffs so they will play like its a major playoff game. As for the Texans, they are playing hard yet there is not much to play for! Indeed, this is probably one of least watched games on the schedule. Not much excitement here otherthan watching how Headcoach Jack DelRio will get his players jacked up for this game on the sideline and the fact that Headcoach Don Capers is looking over his shoulders at the new Headcoach for the Texans next year -- Dan Reeves -- who happens to live in Houston and now the consultant. Hummmmm..... this seems interesting for Dan Reeves!

Indianapolis Colts vs Seattle Seahawks - Seahawks win by 10 points because they are more focused than the Colts. Wow, what a week for the Colts. Not only do they lose their first game last week, but now the tragedy that happened to Tony Dungy's family, definitely puts everything into perspective!! The entire league is sadden for Dungy's loss and he will not be around at all for this game. Yet the Colts will definitely be playing with alot of emotion for Tony. Yet with all the time committed to this story and the adjustments that the rest of the team will have to endure, will give the Seahawks the edge in this game. Some say this maybe the matchup for the upcoming Superbowl -- it just maybe! Again, our heartfelt sorrow goes to the Tony Dungy, the Dungy family and the entire Colts organization!!

Oakland Raiders vs Denver Broncos - Broncos win by 17 points because the Broncos are more than ready for the playoffs! Talk about two team going in the opposite direction! The Raiders are going absolutely nowhere and the team is imploding!! Headcoach Norv Turner has completely lost control of this team and now their star running back LaMont Jordan is out!! As for the Broncos, Headcoach Shanahan has this team fine tuned and are making a serious run for the AFC Championship game. Oh yeah, watch for my boy CHAMP BAILEY -- I mean -- ALL-PRO CHAMP BAILEY -- to get another interception and plenty of TV time!! Do it CHAMP!!
San Diego Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs - Chargers win by 14 points because they will make the playoffs as a wild-card team!! The Chargers need this game more than the Chiefs and they will make a statement in this game with LaDanian and Antonio Gates and the Chargers defense. As for Trent Green, Larry Johnson and Gonzalez of the Chiefs, they will definitely play their A game. Yet it will be the Chiefs defense that will disappoint them again with poor, poor tackling and execution. I hate to say this, but this looks like the end for Headcoach Dick Vermeil. His emotions are fried and I don't think he can take another season not making the playoffs!! Thanks coach Vermeil for the excitement and professional attitude as a Headcoach. You are definitely a classy coach!

Dallas Cowboys vs Carolina Panthers - Cowboys win by 3 points because of Headcoach Parcells! This is a very big game for both teams but I think it will be the Cowboys who will come out the winner. Because of the Cowboys loss last week, they are desperate to get into the playoffs and they have to face a very good Panthers team. However the Panthers still play very conservative and Jake Delhomme still hasn't proven to me that he is an elite quarterback. Watch for turnovers and execution by the special teams to win this one for the Cowboys!

Yes, the Redskins are still feelin' good about their win last week against the Cowboys, but here are the GGGGGGGGG-Men! Eli, Shockey and of course -- Tiki Barber -- will be more than ready for this game and be more than prepared for the blitzing defense of the Redskins!! Oh yeah, don't forget about the tenacious defense of the Giants going against Brunnel who is somehow still getting away with poor playing. Will someone put a decent hit on this guy! Brunnel will execute for the most part yet the Giants defense will shut down Portis and cause at least two turnovers with Brunnel. In the end, the GGGGGGGG-Men will find a way to win at FedEx field in Washington!

Phildadelphia Eagles vs Arizona Cardinals - Cardinals win by 3 points because they will make a statement in this game. These are the last days for backup quarterback Jake McCowen and it looks like he will be better prepared to perform in this game. The Cardinals simply have too many weapons in this game and they have nothing to lose. This is one of my upset specials and my boy Anquain Boldin will show the Eagles defense -- why he is a Superstar in this league -- AND ALL-PRO!!

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers - Bears win by 10 points because they are going to the playoffs!! Talk about a crazy week for the Packers and Brett Favre. Is this the end for Brett -- ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Yes Brett needs to improve his play and not throw as many interceptions, yet this is a team wide problem!! Brett will come out and play his best in this game and make this a very competitive game. Yet it will be Lovie Smith's Bear team that will simply outperform this Packer team. DDDDDDDDAAAAAA Bears are just too talented not to win this game! As for the speculation on Brett -- BRETT DESERVES TO DO WHATEVER BRETT WANTS TO DO -- HE IS STILL A CHAMPION!!

Detroit Lions vs New Orleans Saints - Saints win by 7 points because they are playing somewhere close to home. Talk about a lousy game -- yet both teams are going through drastic changes now and particularly doing the offseason. Headcoach Haslett will be with a new team next year -- GUARRRRANTEEEE!! He doesn't deserve this type of treatment even though I'm not the biggest fan of Haslett. Aaron Brooks will be out of here. As for the Lions -- they are a complete disappointment and McMillan will be fired as well!!

Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Bucs - Bucs win by 14 points because they are the better team. The Bucs are still playing great football and Headcoach Jon Gruden has not allowed them to think any less of themselves after the big time loss from the Patriots last week! Cadillac will run very effectively in this game and get at least 2 touchdowns!! Quarterback Sims will settle back down and execute to Joey Galloway. As for Michael Vick, teams have figured him out. He doesn't play well outside the dome (particularly in cold weather!) In this game, the Bucs defense particularly Derrick Brooks, will put a hurtin' on Vick as well as Ronde Barber (All - Pro!!) will do some damage -- another interception. In the end, Vick will faulter again and the Bucs and Chucky Gruden will have his Chucky smile on AGAIN!!

San Francisco 49ers vs St. Louis Rams - Rams win by 20 points because the 49ers stink!! These are the last days for my boy MARSHALL FAULK AND THE MARSHALL PLAN so watch for Marshall to score a couple of touchdowns and show his still loyal fans that he still has alot of ability left! Marshall is a classy guy who and outstanding running back who will be in the HALL OF FAME after five years of his retirement. Marshall brought alot of excitement to the Rams, a Championship and put the Indianapolis Colts on the map when he played for them. Yes, THE MARSHALL PLAN IS STILL IN EFFECT -- THANKS MARSHALL!!

Week #15 Predictions

Denver Broncos vs Buffalo Bills - Broncos win by 7 points because they are a team on a mission! The Broncos are managing wins week by week and now they are in the driver's seat. Headcoach Mike Shanahan can go to several players to step up now in the season and not just one person. This week, it will be the running attack again because of the weather conditions will prevent much passing. So Jake Plummer will not have to throw much yet just rely on the running of Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell and of course Ron Dayne!! On defense, need I say anything more on my boy CHAMP BAILEY -- HE GOT ANOTHER INTERCEPTION LAST WEEK AND HAS COMPLETELY ELEVATED HIS GAME TO A COMPLETE DIFFERENT LEVEL -- HE IS ALSO GETTING PLENTY OF JUST AIR-TIME!! As for the Bills, J.P. Losman is not the answer as well as the entire Bill organization is in disarray!! Talk about a demise -- wow!! Although the Bills will play hard in this game, the Broncos find another way to get a win!!

New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins - Dolphins win by 14 points because they are on a mini-roll and believing in themselves. Wow, what a couple of wins the past weeks for the Dolphins!! The win last week against the Chargers was phenomenial and a heart-breaker for the Chargers. Yet this Nick Saban team have skilled players who are finally playing like professionals and using their skills!! The running attack is back as well as big play wide receiver Chris Chambers!! As for the defense, Aaron Taylor and Zach Thomas are bring the pressure and pain!! You gotta like how they are putting this team chemistry together. The Jets are barely solid and they will run into a buzz saw against these very hot Dolphins!!

Tampa Bay Bucs vs New England Patriots - Patriots win by 7 points because of homefield advantage and the team is getting healthier! Talk about an emotional win last week for the Patriots and the Bucs. The Bucs get a major win against the Panthers and the Patriots pounded the Bills in Buffalo. So both teams are feeling very good about themselves. As for the Bucs, Jon Gruden planned a masterful game plan against the Panthers last week and will try to do it this week against the Patriots yet these are the Patriots and not the Panthers!! So Cadillac Williams will get the ball alot and attempt to run inside the tackles. In fact, Cadillac will get it going a bit, but the Patriots defense and of course Bruschi will put a stop on the Cadillac! The Patriots defense will also place additional pressure on Sims to cause him to throw a couple of interceptions. This is the game in which the Patriots secondary will have to make some plays and key turnovers. It is about time for them. Oh yeah, on offense, Tom Brady who looked like he had fun last week will return to business-as-usual and execute!! Corey Dillon is back as well as Faulk and Troy Brown!! Headcoach Bill Bellichick is feeling a little better about this game but he knows it will come down to which team has the best scheme and prep!! Yet this one will be determined by the elements -- it's good to play this game in New England when the weather is cold for a warm weather team like the Bucs!! Give me the Patriots in Decemeber any time!!

Green Bay Packers vs Baltimore Ravens - Packers win by 3 points because of Brett Favre! I will take Brett Favre even with the poor level of play by the rest of the Packer team over Kyle Boller any day of the week!! Indeed, Brett and the Packer team are not playing well this season and numerous changes will occur in the off-season! Yet the discovery of running back Gato brings their running attack up another level. Although the Ravens will key on Gato and shut him down for the most part, Brett will find a way to move the ball down the field in crucial situations! As for Kyle Boller, did you see his bonehead plays last week. He forced the ball into coverage so many times and one in particular right before half-time, made Headcoach Brian Billick turn sick on the sidelines! This kid and I do mean kid has not matured at all!! Yes, he may have a decent arm, but his decision making ability is below poor and should not be playing in professional football. He should be sitting the bench and after this year, he will be sitting the bench here or elsewhere!! As the Ravens defense, they are playing much better!! Have you seen my boy Deion Sanders play so much? He is even making so serious tackles also!! Well in the end, there is not much to play for in this game but pride so I have to go with Favre and the Packers!

Cincinnati Bengals vs Detroit Lions - Bengals win by 14 points because they are preparing to go deep into the playoffs! These last few games for the Bengals are crucial if they want to keep their lead in the AFC North. Last week's game against the Browns showed how a rivalry can make games close. Well, this game have a number of familiar faces playing on both sides of the ball. For instance, the Lions will have Jeff Garcia starting at quarterback -- just last year he was with the Browns and that was a natural rivalry. Garcia knows the Bengals and will attempt to capitalize on their weaknesses. Yet it will be the Bengals team that will set the tone in this game. Carson Palmer will play better as will Rudi Johnson. Of course, Chad Johnson will get his 2 touchdowns in this game so that he can do some spectacular endzone entertainment! With all the turmoil still in Detroit, watch for the organization to continue to implode!! Headcoach Dick Jauron is definitely not the answer and any coach in the right mind that will come their will need complete control of the organization - -- and we all know that doesn't happen with the Lions and the owners -- the Ford family. So the only conclusion will be to get rid of fire Matt Millan by the end!! That is a solution for the demise of the roar in Ford Field.

Cleveland Browns vs Oakland Raiders - Raiders win by 14 points because they need to save Headcoach Turner's respect and potential job!! Both of these teams are in drastic transition. As for the Browns, they know that they have a long way to go because of new Headcoach Romeo Crennel. Yet the Browns have been playing some very competitive ball with the rookie quarterback! As for the Raiders, Headcoach Norv Turner is still trying to figure out what type of team this is. It definitely will not go anywhere with Tuiosasopo! Did you see how bad he looked last week!! Wow -- that's bad!!! So hopefully, the Raiders will return with Kerry Collins (which is not saying much either) to show an impressive game. As for Randy Moss, he has been disappointed with the entire organization and coaching staff!! Don't be surprised if Randy decides to sit out a year after this fiasaco!

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Minnesota Vikings - Vikings win by 3 points because they on a serious roll and have a good chance to make the playoffs!! Talk about a match-up now!! The Steelers returned to the running game with the Jerome Bettis and pounded the Bears defense. Well, they are going to try to do the same this week, but they will not be successful!! The Vikings defense will step up and contain the running game while also challenging my boy Big Ben into some errant throws! That's how the Vikings have been winning for 8 straight games and this will be another win. The Comeback player of the year -- Brad Johnson -- is efficient and experience to overcome the Steelers blitzing defense. Oh yeah, watch for Koren Robinson to score another crucial touchdown. This is a classic game and the Vikings will take it by the end!

Arizona Cardinals vs Houston Texans - Texans win by 3 points because they are playing at home. Well, they may just give this game up since they are will most likely have the chance to get Reggie Bush - recent Heisman Trophy winner!! Talk about a game that has different consequences -- they are not playing to win but to LOSE! Who cares about this game? It's a sad situation all around and the Texans coaching staff needs to be fired and retooled!

San Francisco 49ers vs Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaguars win by 24 points because the 49ers are that bad!! Yes, this will be a complete blow out because the 49ers are winding up their year in total confusion whereas the Jaguars still have a shot to make the playoffs. The Jaguars are a quality team that just need so definite leadership and playmakers on a consistent basis. This day they will crush the 49ers and Alex Smith!!

Seattle Seahawks vs Tennessee Titans - Seahawks win by 14 points because they are making a run for the top team in the NFC. Talk about a complete turnaround with the Seahawks, it is this year with Headcoach Mike Holmgren getting this team to play at another level. The Seahawks have proven that they are a championship quality team and they will prove it in this game. Shaun Alexander is deceptively fast and will have another good rushing day. Hasselbeck will have some problems in this game just because of the blitzing that occurs with the Titans team. In addition, watch out for the Titans defense to make it extra hard on Hasselbeck including PacMan Jones!! By the way, Steve McNair will be ready for this game as well. Yet in the end, the Seahawks are on a roll and will take this game.

Kansas City Chiefs vs New York Giants - Giants win by 7 points because of homefield advantage and GGGGGGMen tradition. This will be a classic game and will go down to which team wants it the most. Both teams need this win badly! The Chiefs lost last week against the Cowboys in a thriller and now they will lose this one against the Giants!! Trent Green is playing very well and Larry Johnson has completely taken over the running attack. Oh yeah, there is still Tony Gonzalez. Yet the GGGGGMen will shut down the Gonzalez and try to get Larry Johnson to run to the edges. The Giants will be successful in their defensive gameplan so it will be up to the offense and Eli to take it from there. Of course, he will make just enough plays!! The main objective for the Giants offense is to mix up the plays -- running with Tiki and throwing to Shockey !! Shockey will have a spectacular day!! So yes it will be the GGGGGMen to stop the Chiefs in the end -- even the X factor will be contained!

San Diego Chargers vs Indianapolis Colts - Colts win by 17 points because it is THEIR DESTINY!! What can you say about this game? For one, Drew Brees is coming back to the state of Indiana where he was the Purdue Boilermakers quarterback so you know there will be plenty of Drew Brees fans in the RCA dome! In addition, ALL-WORLD LaDanian Tomlinson will try to run wild on the astro turf! Unfortunately, he and Drew Brees are playing the HOTTEST TEAM in the league in the Colts. They have an answer to every team and the Chargers will be another victim. PEYTON, HARRISON, PEYTON HARRISON AND PEYTON HARRISON is enough!! That's it (with a very solid defense of course!) and chaulk this up to the masterful Headcoach Tony Dungy!! Obviously, he is the COACH OF THE YEAR -- TONY DUNGY!!
Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Redskins - Cowboys win by 3 points because the Redskins tend to play poorly at home!! Talk about another rivalry -- this one is it and this one DETERMINES THE NFC EAST LEADERS!! Everything is on line so I have to go with the better coaching and that is Headcoach Bill Parcells and not Joe Gibbs and his staff!! Will Drew Bledsoe make enough plays -- I think so! Of course, the Redskins defense will cause alot of disruption yet I think that Parcells will have something planned for that blitzing defense!! In the end, FEDEX field will become another embarrassement for the Redskins organization. I can't believe that I'm saying this but -- HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!

Philadelphia Eagles vs St. Louis Rams - Rams win by 10 points because they are playing at home and Westbrook is gone for the season for the Eagles. With Westbrook loss, the Eagles virtually have no major offensive threat at all! Can McMahon do the job? He is capable, but he has no supporting cast. The Rams will take this one on the fast turf and watch for Issacc Bruuuuuce and Tory Holt to score several touchdowns. Oh yeah, watch for my boy Marshall Faulk to score one his last touchdowns for the Rams organization. The MARSHALL PLAN IS STILL BETTER THAN STEVEN JACKSON ANY TIME!!

Atlanta Falcons vs Chicago Bears- Bears win by 14 points because they are playing in Soldier Field and these are DAAAAAABEARS!! The Bears are not feeling too good about themselves this past week after they got beaten by the Steelers, particularly Urlacher (Ouchh... did you see that run by Bettis over Urlacher!!) So now the Bears will take their frustration out on Michael Vick and company! Yes, Vick will have to perform in the cold weather and snow of Chicago!! Vick will NOT last in this game because he doesn't handle cold weather well and the Bears defense is MAD!!! This will be a brutal game on both sides of the scrimmage!! Kyle Orton will have to step up and I believe he will. Watch for Headcoach Lovie Smith to get back to Bear football!! That's what it's all about in December -- BEAR FOOTBALL!!

Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints - Panthers win by 14 points because the NFL league is against the Saints!! What is going on with the league and the Saints. Every week, the Saints are getting poor officiating and the league is giving Headcoach Hasslett a very tough time!! Well, when you have this type of response from the league and their ownership, the Saints will continue to struggle. As for the Panthers, they need to rebound and this is a great game for them and Jake Delhomme to get back some of his confidence!! The Panthers will step up in this game!!

Week #14 Predictions

New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills - Patriots win by 7 points because they are still the Champions. That's right, the Patriots are still the Champions and I'm sticking with them. I know what you are saying and I agree -- they are not hardly the same team like last year's team. Yet some of the starters like Dillon and Faulk are finally getting healthier and will be getting back into the groove. With the return of key personnel and with Tom Brady settling down a bit, Headcoach Billichick is feeling much better. This game against the Bills will be a dog-fight because the Bills will be ready for the Patriots. In fact, the Bills experienced a very tough loss last week against the Dolphins and will be out for revenge. In the end, however, the Patriots will find their Championship stride once again.

Miami Dolphins vs San Diego Chargers - Chargers win by 17 points because they are starting to elevate to the next level -- elite Playoff team! Now that Headcoach Marty Schotenheimer realizes that he has to get the ball in LaDanian hands, the Chargers are taking control of games!! LaDanian is playing in a completely different level which causes the rest of the team to elevate their game. Drew Brees is throwing more to Antonio Gates and it is paying dividends!! Additionally, the Chargers defense has stepped up! As for the Dolphins, they are playing much better and last week they played exceptionally well behind Sage Rosenfeld who orchestrated a comeback win against the Bills! The Dolphins are no longer a slouch of a team. They can be competitive and I think they will put a very good effort forward. Yet the Chargers are preparing for the next level and LaDanian is the BEST BACK IN THE LEAGUE BY FAR!! IN FACT, HE IS HALL OF FAME RIGHT NOW!!

Oakland Raiders vs New York Jets - Jets win by 7 points because they will play with that Jet Pride and for the homefield advantage. Yes, this has not been a good year at all for either teams so this game will come down to pride. What's a stake -- absolutely nothing but pride. As for the Raiders, LaMont Jordan comes back to New York where he was the back up to Curtis Martin for several years. Now he is the featured running back with Oakland and you know he will be ready for this game!! What can I say for the rest of the Raiders team -- dull and boring!! Even Randy Moss looks like he doesn't belong in that Raider uniform!! Don't be surprised to hear that Randy (in the offseason) start to evaluate his stay with Raiders organization and think about going elsewhere!! THAT'S RIGHT -- YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!! Overall, the Jets will rise up in this game and perform for Headcoach Herman Edwards and get the needed win that they deserve!!

Baltimore Ravens vs Denver Broncos -- Broncos win by 17 points because they are playing at home (MILE HIGH) and are mad!! The Broncos are mad because of last week's poorly officiated game against the Chiefs!! Well, this week they will not have to worry about the refs because the Broncos will simply control this game from start to finish!! The Broncos defense including Ian Gold, Jon Lynch and yes my boy CHAMP BAILEY (I know he is my relative!) who is at the TOP OF HIS GAME AND WILL ALSO GET ANOTHER INTECEPTION AND PLENTY OF TV TIME!! The Broncos defense are playing much better as well as Jake Plummer and the offense. I would like to see them use more of Ron Dayne in crucial running situations because he is still the Man with a Heisman!! Oh yeah, my boy Rod Smith will go one on one with Deion and this will be a classic matchup!! Watch for sparks to fly and even my boy Deion Sanders (who has been playing much more lately -- practically on every down) may even get an interception. In the end, however, it will be the Broncos system that will get to Kyle Boller and frustrate Head Coach Brian Billick once again!!

Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals -- Bengals win by 14 points because they have arrived to the next level of ELITE TEAMS!! Yes, Headcoach Marvin Lewis has turned this team around completely with their win last week against the Steelers!! That win has propelled the Bengals to another level in which they are more than ready for. Carson Palmer continues to impress the national media even though we knew that he was All-Pro status before last week. Now that Rudi, Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh have elevated their game and emotions, the Bengals are ready to go to AFC Championship game. Yet this Ohio rivalvry will be a good one still. Yes don't count out the Browns in not providing a hard hitting game! The Browns will still bring it with their rookie quarterback starting -- Charlie Frye. Nonetheless, the Bengals win this game hands down in the jungle!!

Chicago Bears vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Bears win by 3 points because they have the better defense - simple as that! Wow, what a turnaround for the Bears and the downward turn for the Steelers! DAAAAAA....BEARS are definitely on a roll with Kyle Orton and their fantastic defense lead by you know who --- Brian Urlacher! But it is not Urlacher who is doing the damage. It is their defensive ends Tommy Harris and Adewale Ogunleye! These two defensive ends will put a hurtin' on Big Ben Roethlisberger! Yes, sorry to say this to my boy Ben, but he will be under some serious heat particularly now that he is nursing a very, very sore thumb!! Ouch!!! I just hope he doesn't get carted out of the game!! Yet I am sure the Steelers will come out with their traditional Steel Curtain look and this will indeed be a low scoring game! Yet in the end, it will be DAAAAA...BEARS to take this in Steel country!

Houston Texans vs Tennessee Titans -- Titans win by 14 points because of Steve McNair. Talk about two teams that are struggling. Fortunately for the Titans, they have Steve McNair who is still bringing his A game! Even though his team makes a ton of errors and are still very, very young, they far outmatch the happless Texans who are completely loss and will not win any more of their games -- even the last one against the 49ers!! The Texans are a complete embarrassement to the State of Texas and every coach on the team needs to go!! What can I say!

Indianapolis Colts vs Jacksonville Jaguars - Colts win by 3 points because they are still unstoppable. HOWEVER, if there is any team that can beat them, it is the Jaguars!! The Colts are primed for an upset yet I cannot pick the Jaguars because their starting quarterback is out (Leftwich) and Gerrad is starting. Granted, Gerrad is a top quality quarterback, but I think the Colts will be coming at him with a lot of blitz packages which will confuse him. The Colts smell history before them and they are not going to lose focus. THIS MAYBE THE GAME OF THE WEEK because the Jaguars and Jack DeRio know that everything is on the line for this game.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Dallas Cowboys -- Cowboys win by 7 points because "HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!" Indeed, Headcoach Parcells is not going to let his Cowboys lose another game and somehow, someway they will win this game. The Cowboys are in a dogfight for the NFC East and every game is crucial as it is for the Chiefs! Yet the Cowboys will frustrate Trent Green and shut down Larry Johnson by playing close to the line of scrimmage and daring the wide receivers to beat their corners! It will not happen! As for the Cowboys offense, Drew Bledsoe will have to step up big time because his future is on the line now!! It's that intense in the Big D so watch out for some serious football from these Cowboys!

New York Giants vs Phildelphia Eagles -- Giants win by 14 points because they are the better team! Wow, what a difference a few weeks make for the Eagles. Not only is Terrell Owens gone, so is McNabb and their entire offense!! Can the Eagles rebound with McMahon! Absolutely NOT!! The Eagles are completely done for this year and that's what happens when you build your team around one or two superstars!! There is no balance at all!! As for the GGGGGGGGGGG--MEN, they need this win desperately! Eli Manning is trying to play at an elevated level and so is Jeremy Shockey!! As for Tiki, he is bringing his A game and the GGGGGGGGG-Men will take it to the Eagles in Philly!! Hold the Philly Cheesesteak please (with no cheese)!

Washington Redskins vs Arizona Cardinals -- Cardinals win by 3 points because this is an upset special in the making!! This game is being played in Tempe Arizona and the Cardinals are getting it together somewhat by the end of the season. Now that Kurt Warner is solidly in the saddle and my boy Antoine Boldin has completely elevated to SUPERSTAR status, the Cardinals are staying competitive in each game. That's why I think with Warner's veteran leadership and ability to handle the blitzing Redskins defense, he will check off on several situations and hit the open man!! As the Cardinals defense, cornerback Antrel Rolle is back and ready to go man-up on any top-notched wide receiver. In the end, I like this upset special!!

Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers - Packers win by 14 points because the Lions are that bad and this game is for LAMBEAU FIELD!! It's time for the Packers to restore some of its tradition and this is the game for it to happen. Brett Favre will settle down and stop throwing silly interceptions in this game and simply execute the play. That's what he needs to do and that's what he will do. Simple as that. As for the Lions, they are disaster and they will self destruct in this game. President Matt Millian will be fired by the Lions owner, the Fords, at the end of the season! They need to clean house with management. Besides, this was not Mariucci's fault!!

St. Louis Rams vs Minnesota Vikings - Vikings win by 10 points because of Brad Johnson -- simple as that!! Talk about a turnaround season, but this is exactly what is happening with the Vikings and my boy Brad Johnson. There is no doubt about it, but my boy Brad will be voted -- COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR!! SERIOUSLY!! He is executing so efficiently it is ridiculous!! Brad knows when to check down to dump off man and then go deep in the right play action play!! Watch for Brad to continue to do the same against this sorry Ram team!! Yes, Marshall Faulk is ready to leave this team and call it a career after this travesty!! In the end, the Vikings take it to the Rams.

New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons -- Falcons win by 20 points because Vick is mad and they are playing at home! Indeed, the Falcons are now the team looking in and hoping to get into the playoffs. Now that other teams are recognizing how to defense Vick, the Falcons have faultered big time and there is alot of pressure on Jim Mora Jr and Michael Vick to perform. Well, in this game, they are playing the right opponent and the Falcons will feel very good about themselves again. Well only for this week. Let's not talk about their next game!

Tampa Bay Bucs vs Carolina Panthers - Panthers win by 7 points because they have taking a bit more chances on offense!! Once John Fox realized that he needed more punch to his offense, Jake Delhomme greatly benefited with the insertion of DeShaun Foster in the backfield! Yes, I like Stephen Davis yet his running attack is too lathargic and slow. It takes Davis several carries to finally get into a groove. Well, the Panthers do not have time to waste so that's why DeShaun Foster will be the man with the Panthers. As for the Bucs, you gotta like how Sims has elevated his game and of course my boy Ronde Barber (as I predicted last week) to have the game of his career!! This will be an OUTSTANDING GAME -- OFFENSIVELY AND DEFENSIVELY!! I think Jon Gruden (a la Chucky) will have a few surprises up his sleeve! Oh yeah, watch for Joey Galloway and Steve Smith to put on a show for both teams at wide outs!!

Headcoach Mike Holmgren is pushing all the right buttons and Seahawk team is responding!! Shaun Alexander is in another area code and strastisphere because he wants to get the MVP of the league -- right now!! Additionally, Hasselbeck is playing much better as well as their defense. As for the 49ers, their quarterback -- number 1 pick Alex Smith -- is a JOKE!! THE SEAHAWKS fly in this westcoast mismatch!

Week #13 Predictions

Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins - Dolphins win because they are getting their offense together finally! Yes, can you believe it, Ricky Williams scored a touchdown last week and on defense Jason Taylor had a spectacular day against the Raiders. It looks like the Dolphins are getting it together just at the right time and they are going to make a statement on their season with these final few games of the season. Now the Headcoach Saban is getting sincere effort from his offense and the defense continues to step it up, watch for them to thoroughly confuse the Bills and J.P. Losman. Dolphins are making a difference now.

New York Jets vs New England Patriots - Patriots win because they are still the Champions and they have to fight for their pride. After last week's loss against the Chiefs in which Tom Brady had one of his worst games of the season, the Patriots will come out with a vengenance against the happless Jets. Yes, Brady is obviously trying to force more of his throws into coverage and this has caused several interceptions. I think that game against the Chiefs taught Brady a good lesson -- don't try too hard and force throws that are simply not there. The Patriots have been undermanned all season long and it has caused them dearly this season. Not only is Brady trying too hard, he doesn't have much of a running game either. Yet if they stay within themselves and diversify more of their offense and get their skilled athletes like Branch and Givens into the offense, then more of the longer plays will come available. As for the Patriots defense, they are still making plays when they need to. Although the secondary is very below, below average and all of the defensive backs look lost still, they will have to come together and play basic coverage. They are not capable to go one on one with other wide receivers so that will continue to be the Patriots weakspot. Therefore since this game is in New England and it's a rivalry, the Patriots will have their Champion's look and attitude about themselves and take it to the Jets team again.

Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens - Ravens win by 10 points because the Texans are the worst team in the league! Did you see that pathetic ending by the Texans last week when they lost against the Rams in overtime. This is a Texan team that is worst than I ever thought! They had this game won early in the game and they allowed the Rams to take this one. Well, even in this game, the Texans have nothing to play for anymore. As for the Ravens, they looked really bad last week against the Bengals until they got a few breaks toward the end of the game and my boy Deion Sanders got his interception just like I predicted. Well, in this game, Deion will get another interception from David Carr and this time he will take it to the endzone! Yes, Prime Time has been playing more and more each week because of the injuries in the secondary and now Deion will end this season and his career on a high note despite the very poor play calling and performance of the offense and Kyle Boller. Yes, Headcoach Brian Billick needs to be fired and everyone knows it. Just do it and let's move on -- that's what they did in Detroit!

Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Bengals win by 3 points because they are ready to take it up the next level. Last week, the Steelers ran into the Indianapolis Colts machine and got sliced up like all the other 11 opponents! Well, this week, the Steelers will be disappointed again. Now they run into the Carson Palmer Bengal circus which will come out of the gate with a very balanced attack. The Bengals are feeling really good and all of their key players have stepped it up big time. Carson Palmer is very efficient and as long as he maintains his composure, Palmer will execute each play to perfection. Of course, he has All-Pro and All Mr. Dramatic Chad Johnson! Yes, Chad will out shine Hines Ward at Hines field in this one!! Yet it will have to be the Bengals defense to step up in this game and contain Big Ben (Miami Univ, Ohio! - give it up). If the Bengals apply pressure on Ben up the middle and don't let the Randle El get too much space, the Bengals will surprise Headcoach Bill Cowher with another lost. Yes, I think Headcoach Marvin Lewis will be smilin' at the end of this game. Watch out Steel City!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Cleveland Browns - Jaguars win by 7 points because they are a better team. Even though this game is in Cleveland and the Jaguars are not used to playing in the cold, they have a better team and will need this game more than the Browns. Leftwich is out and Gerad will lead the Jaguars on offense. He is a quality quarterback and they do not lose much with him at quarterback. As for the Browns, they are getting more solid offensively and defensively, yet they lost their leader with Trent Dilfer. So in the end of this very physical, hard-hitting game, Jack Del Rio's team will take this one!

Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts - Colts win by 17 points because of Peyton, Peyton and Peyton. Now that they beat the Steelers last week, I am more than convinced that the Colts will win the Superbowl and just may win it again!!! They are that good and Headcoach Tony Dungy has instituted a fabulous system -- offensively and defensively. Peyton is truly benefitting from Dungy's strategy and now the entire team believes it!! There is nothing can stop them even Jeff Fisher's young Titans team with Steve McNair. Oh yes, Steve looks and is performing much better than I anticipated but his team is still so young and they have a ways to make the big plays. Hey, but don't count out this Titan team for not putting up a very good challenge!

Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs - Broncos win by 7 point because they are on a roll. Indeed, the Chiefs looked good last week against the Patriots and Larry Johnson is indeed the man in Kansas City! Yet, it will be Mike Shanahan's classic running attack system with Anderson, Bell and now Ron Dayne dominating the running attack. If that doesn't work, then there is Jake hitting my boy Rod Smith for a touchdown. On defense, did you see my boy CHAMP BAILEY take one to the house against the Cowboys. It was classic CHAMP BAILEY STYLE!! Overall, this will be one of the best games of the day and Broncos will have to eliminate errors because the Chiefs are starting to put it together fast. Additionally, Jon Lynch must maintain solid coverage against Tony Gonzales -- if he doesn't watch for Trent Green to hit on key situations and oh yeah, there is always the X factor of Dante Hall! I still take the Broncos!

Did you see his FANTASTIC PHYSICAL RUN last week against the Redskins in which he scored a touchdown in overtime and actually threw down a defensive back who was trying to tackle him -- THAT WAS THE BEST PHYSICAL PLAY I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME BY A RUNNING ATTACK!! WITH THAT RUN, L.T. ELEVATED TO THE VERY ELITE STATUS OF RUNNING BACKS OF ALL TIME!! THAT WAS SWEET!! The Chargers will definitely make a serious run now whereas the Raiders blew an excellent opportunity last week. Which team will show up, Norv Turner doesn't know. Fortunately for Marty Schotteiheimer, he does!!

Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants -- Giants win by 7 points because they will rebound after a very difficult loss last week against the Seahawks! Talk about a crucial game -- this is it for both teams. The GGGGG-Men versus the Cowboys!! Of course, Headcoach Parcells will have the Cowboys ready for this one and watch out for Terry Glenn to have a spectacular game. (Need I talk about KeyShawn -- Just throw me the ___ ball!) Yet this game will belong to Eli and not Drew Bledsoe. Eli has had some difficult games and now he will get back on the winning track and so will Tiki and Jeremy Shocky. The GGGG-Men just need to stop reading and listening to the press in New York and just go out there an execute!! Hey Strahan -- just do your job!!

Seattle Seahawks vs Philadelphia Eagles - Seahawks win by 7 points because they are on a roll and a better team mentally! Yes, I am still counting on Shaun Alexander to further elevate his game and take his Seahawks to the NFC Championship game. This is a very important game for both teams but I think that Mike Holmgren has his team better to play on the road. As for Philly, they will be ready and backup quarterback McMahon is stepping up very well. Watch for Westbrook to have a very good game. Yet in the end, the Seahawks fly for a win over this Eagle.

Washington Redskins vs St. Louis Rams - Rams win by 7 points because of their homefield advantage and the Redskins have no direction! Wow, what a week for both teams. The Rams win in overtime against the Texans with a 3rd string backup Harvard quarterback to win the game in a dramatic fashion. Now with this young rookie along with Holt and Bruuuuuce, the Rams look like they may settle down and end the season on a respectable note. Oh yeah, there is still Marshall Faulk (The Marshall Plan is still in effect) who comes in on passing downs and it seems like they need him more and more each week. As for the Redskins, Headcoach Joe Gibbs is clueless about his offense and his defense! Gibbs is playing that old-style, predictable type of offense and opponents are taking full advantage of it. Hey, Gibbs -- do you think it is time to retire again!! There will be big time pressure from boy Snyder during the offseason if the Redskins do not turn this losing streak around fast. As for this game, give it to the Rams in the dome!

Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears -- DA BEARS win by 14 points because they are bringing back the DA BEARS Defense of Old!! Wow, Headcoach Lovie Smith has completely turned this team around and he did it with an outstanding defensive scheme and key players like Urlacher, Brown and now new comers defensive ends -- Ogunleye and Harris!! These two defensive ends are powerhouses and will disruput any offense. Along with superstar rookie Kyle Orton (Rookie of the Year - Go Purdue!) and Mushid Muhammad (Michigan Stater), the Bears look like they are headed for the NFC Championship game. As for the Packers, don't worry, Brett will be back next year. Expect them to play well in this game, yet it will be too much DA BEARS defense to control the tempo of this classic Central Division game!

Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions -- Vikings win because of the turmoil with the Lions and Motown!! Talk about an unfortunate week for the Lions and former Headcoach Mariucci! Now that Mooch (Mariucci) is gone, general manager and president Matt Millan has no one else to blame!! The problem was more than the coach -- it is the organization and the owner. We all know and all of us who have lived in the Motor city!! As for the Vikings, wow, what a few weeks has changed. Now that they have Brad Johnnson starting, he has elevated this team with his veteran leadership and efficient decision-making and throwing. Now everyone else has elevated their game and believe it or not -- the Vikings have an outside chance to make the playoffs!! Yes, it looks like Headcoach Mike Tice has saved his job!! Way to go Brad Johnson!!

Atlanta Falcons vs Carolina Panthers - Panthers win by 7 points because they are the more experienced team and they will be playing outside! The Panthers have been waiting for the game for some time and now it comes down which team wants it the most. Jake Delhomme still has a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove to everyone, particularly the sports media, that he is the real deal. Watch for Jake to settle down and then execute! Of course, it is good to have Stephen Davis and Smith on your offense. As for Michael Vick, he will be at his best as well. Vick will create alot of openings as well as all-pro Warrick Dunn!! Vick will be really tested in this game and watch for the Panthers defense to try to put some serious hits on him. If they do, Vick will not last the game and if they don't Vick may be able to create some special magic by the end. Let's not go that far -- the Panthers beat the Falcons period!

Tampa Bay Bucs vs New Orleans Saints - Bucs win by 3 points because they are making the run to stay in the playoff race. The pressure is on the Bucs and I think they will produce. Quarterback Sims needs to further settle down and give the ball to Cadillac Williams and occasionally throw to Joey Galloway! Better balance is the key for the Bucs. As for the Bucs defense, linebacker Derrick Brooks will elevate his game again as well as Ronde Barber. Watch for Ronde to get an interception is this game and it maybe the key play to determine the final outcome. Way to go Bucs and way to go Jon Gruden!!

Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers - Cardinals win by 10 points because of their potent wide receivers. I still think that the Cardinals are one of the most dangerous teams in the league due to the fact that they have the two best tandem of wide receivers -- Fitzgerald and All-World Anquan Boldin!! Boldin is a powerhouse who makes things happen! He is physical and has no fear!! That's dangerous for any defense. Once Kurt Warner gets the ball in his hands more often, the Cardinals will score more often. As for the 49ers, they will be playing for pride and play well a majority of the game. Yet I have to give it up again to the very young and talented Cardinals team!

Carolina Panthers vs Buffalo Bills - Bills win by 3 points because of home advantage and the weather! Indeed, this is the time of the year when a number of teams just cannot handle the cold elements -- the Panthers are one of those teams. Last week, the Panthers lost against the Chicago Bears at Soldier's stadium and now they have to face the Bills in Buffalo!! The Panthers did not adjust to the weather last week and I do not believe that they will make the adjustment with the Bills. The Bills lost badly against the Chargers last week and will want to dramatically redeem their last outting. So with Sam Wyche as the offensive coordinator, the Bills with J.P. Losman will get back to the basics of their offense. In particular, it will be the Bills defense that will step up in this game because they know that a good defense can stop Jake Delhomme and the Panthers. That's exactly what the Bills will count on in this game and this is another upset special in the making!

Miami Dolphins vs Oakland Raiders - Raiders win by 17 points because they got the long ball connecting to Randy Moss and Norv Turner is feelin' good after the win last week against his former team -- the Washington Redskins. Wow, what a great week for Norv Turner! He goes into Redskins stadium and gets an emotional win from his former boss and owner of the Redskins -- boy owner Daniel Snyder!! It was such a great win for Norv Turner that the Raiders team gave him the game ball after the game!! As for the Redskins' owner, he got what deserves again!! Well, it looks like the Raiders will be on a little winning streak. They will have no problem with the Raiders because the Dolphins do not have a decent quarterback and their running attack is not coming together like Saban thought! Ricky Williams is not breaking the long yards and Ronnie Brown needs more carries! On defense, it looks like Zach Thomas will be out and they do not have the defensive backs to stay with Randy Moss and Jerry Porter. Kerry Collins will let loose again and nice-guy Norv Turner will look like a genius again!!

New England Patriots vs Kansas City Chiefs - Patriots win by 3 points because of a more diversified attack offensively and defensively. Talk about a critical game for both teams, particularly for the Chiefs. The Chiefs looked good against the Texans last week, but what team doesn't. Larry Johnson ran for over 200 yards and is indeed a superstar now! Yet when they come against the Patriots team, it will be a totally different situation. The Chiefs still have a difficult time in moving the ball and they are very predictable on offense. That's where Headcoach Bill Billichick will scheme well against the Chiefs offense and contain Johnson and put additional pressure on Trent Green. Once this occurs, Tom Brady and the boys will slice apart the secondary of the Chiefs (now that cornerback Surtain is out for this game) and move the ball in the most critical third down and tens! The Patriots will also control the X-factor, Dante Hall, during this game. In the end, this will be a great close game all throughout. I feel for both coaches yet the Patriots still have some life in them and just enough to eeeek out another win on the road!

New Orleans Saints vs New York Jets - Jets win by 7 points because Headcoach Herman Edwards will find a way!! These are two teams not going anywhere yet this will be another great game. Headcoach Herman Edwards is trying to figure out a direction for his offense and it is still not coming. Yet in this game, he will simplify it even more and whether Vinny or Brooks Bollinger is running it, they will move the ball much more effectively against the Saints. In particular, J-E-T-S defense will step up in this game against Aaron Brooks and the Saints offense to further frustrate Headcoach Jim Haslett to want to resign from the Saints job by the end of the year! It's that bad with the Saints organization and it is not getting better! In the end, the New York crowd will celebrate with a victory.

Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals win by 14 points because Kyle Boller will make major mistakes again for the Ravens. Wow, another rematch for Headcoach Marvin Lewis against his former team and coach of Brian Billick. Lewis will have the Bengal back in the groove after their tough loss against the Colts last week. Carson Palmer will be back executing and taking it to the very tough defense of the Ravens secondary which still includes my boy Deion Sanders. Yes, I know -- Deion has not had a great year and yes, he gets burnt, but he still is out their competing at a high level. Yet this game is about the Bengals and the Bengals must make this a statement game and put the Ravens back into the place!! Indeed, the Bengals will so that Chad Johnson can score another touchdown and maybe proposed to another Bengals cheerleader again!!

Cleveland Browns vs Minnesota Vikings - Vikings win by 14 points because they are on a roll!! Talk about a quick turnaround, the Vikings have made it. Headcoach Mike Tice had to insert quarterback Brad Johnson in the game and he has performed like the quality veteran that he is. Brad knows how to execute a game and not make silly mistakes like alot of veteran quarterbacks. Brad is efficient and gets the ball in the playmakers. This game, he will do the same. Additionally, talk about the Vikings special teams -- the Vikings special team will score again and have the Browns even more perplexed!! Watch out Central Division, the Vikings are making a serious run for the title.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts - Colts win by 14 points because of Peyton, Peyton and more Peyton. What can you say about Peyton and the Colts. They are unbeatable and they are still on a roll. This high powered offense continues to rolll up the numbers against teams. Yet now they are going against a better than average defense with my boy Troy Polamalu, strong safety, putting on the hits and simply flying around. Yet Polamalu exploits will not be enough against Peyton, Harrison and Wayne. The Steelers defense will confuse Peyton at times and this will indeed be a classic game. Unfortunately, the Steelers will not have enough offense to counteract the Colts three-ring circus on offense. Thus by the end, the Colts will get another win and Headcoach Tony Dungy will take it with humility like he normally does!

St. Louis Rams vs Houston Texans - Texans win by 7 point because the Texan will be fighting for pride and the Rams are in disarray!! The Texans are not going anywhere since their front offensive line cannot block anyone and quarterback David Carr has not matured much at all!! Although they have Andre Johnson back, his immaturity has cost them a game or two. Yet with such poor performance by the Texans, the Rams organization is imploding since Headcoach Mike Martz has been hospitalized and the interim Headcoach does not know how to run a team. Now with Marc Bulger out for the rest of the season, the Rams have given up!! I really feel sorry for my boy Marshall Faulk!! He has played behind Stephen Jackson all season long and last week's lost against Kurt Warner and the Cardinals was demoralizing for him and the rest of the Rams team. As for the Rams defense, it is pathetic!! The Texans will muster up enough pride and take it to this disorganized Rams team!! This is the effect also of homefield advantage!!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Arizona Cardinals - Jaguars win by 7 points because they know how to win! The Jaguars have been a very gritty team all season long and have been winning where it is necessary. This is another road game in which they will play well just when the Cardinals are starting to get a few things together on offense. Headcoach Jack Del Rio has this young team believing in themselves and managing one win at a time. This is a team to keep an eye on. Another team to keep an eye on are the Cardinals. Wow, their win last week against the Rams was a statement game and it was retribution for Kurt Warner to be his former teammates with the Rams! Yet the Jaguars have a very good defense which slows down the game and they have a capable quarterback with Leftwich to make the clutch passes. Hey, but don't forget about Warner's superstar wide receivers -- Bolden and Fitzgerald!! These guys are the stars of today and tomorrow. Did you see Bolden last week break about 7 tackles in scoring a touchdown!! It was freaky yet superstar like! Bolden is physical and makes things happen. He will do the same in this game but the Jaguars will find a way to contain the rest of the Cardinals.

San Francisco 49ers vs Tennessee Titans - Titans win by 14 points because Steve McNair can still do it well!! If it wasn't for the Titans inexperience, they could have easily won several games. Yet because of this inexperience, they are still struggling. In this game, McNair and the running attack of Chris Brown (who runs too high still) will execute Jeff Fisher's playbook and score. Indeed the 49ers will not lay down, but they are simply not capable to compete at a high level yet particularly on the road. So give this one to my boy Steve McNair and the young players of Titans. Hey, even watch Packman Jones to get an interception and score a touchdown!

Denver Broncos vs Dallas Cowboys - Broncos win by 3 points because the Broncos have stepped it up!! Talk about a classic game. This is by far one of the best games of the season! Bill Parcell's Cowboys are also on a roll and have been playing exceptionally with their running attack and my boy Drew Bledsoe. Oh yeah, don't forget about Terry Glenn (The Ohio State) and Just Throw me the D___ Ball KeyShawn Johnson!! Talk about Mr. Playmaker Roy Williams on defense, the Cowboys (How Bout Them Cowboys!!) are making a great run for the playoffs and the Superbowl! Yet this game, Headcoach Mike Shanahan has his Broncos heading in the right direction. Jake Plummer is still playing well and their running attack is running the way the Broncos used to run! Of course, my boy Rod Smith will get his catches as well as Mr. All-World Corner -- Champ Bailey (You know I had to give it up to Champ) will make an interception or just get alot of TV attention. This is a great THANKSGIVING DAY game and the Broncos will finally get their recognition in this holiday classic.

San Diego Chargers vs Washington Redskins - Chargers win by 14 points because of Marty Schotteheimer coming back to Washington! Wow, this will be another week in which a former Headcoach of the Redskins will embarrass boy owner Daniel Snyder in his own FedEx field!! Yes, the Chargers are a very talented team and the Redskins are not!!! The Redskins are looking for an identity under Headcoach Joe Gibbs whereas Marty's team, the Chargers, are making a serious run to keep up with the Broncos in the western AFC division. Although Marty comes off as cocky and diplomatic in this game, he really wants to get Snyder back because of how they let him go!! With LaDamian playing very well and Drew Brees getting back into flow, they should be successful against the tenacious Redskins defense. As for the Redskins offense, Brunnell will have some success yet by the end, his age will show again and the Chargers defense should be able to weather the storm at FedEx field!

New York Giants vs Seattle Seahawks - Seahawks win by 7 points because they are playing like a championship team and Alexander is the MVP in the league as of now!! Although the GGGGGGMen are playing hard football and got back on the winning ways, Eli and the GMen are starting to hit the toughest part of their schedule. If they play hard in this game which is on the road, it will show they are a serious contender in the NFC East. Yet they are facing one of the hottest teams and hottest players in the league -- Shaun Alexander! Alexander has been playing phenomenal football and has seriously elevated his game to another level that I didn't think was within him. Yet he has proved me wrong and now I have to say this guy is THE REAL DEAL!! Just this one player and Headcoach Holmgren better play calling, it makes them the surprise team in the NFC!

Green Bay Packers vs Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles win by 7 points because they have homefield advantage. Talk about a crazy year for both teams -- the Packers did not anticipate such a bad year and of course the Eagles didn't anticipate the craziness from Terrell Owens. Yet it has happened and now both teams are trying to salvage the season. As for Brett, he has thrown way too many interceptions which continues to cost his team. Then the Packers defense is pathetic. They got beat by the Vikings last week and now they are feeling really down -- deservingly so! As for the Eagles, they don't have Donovan anymore and now they will rally around whomever is on the team. Take a bite out of your Philly Cheesesteak (hold the cheese for me) because Philly will somehow get this win!

Chicago Bears vs Tampa Bay Bucs - Bucs win by 3 points because of homefield advantage. Wow, talk about a classic game -- this one is it -- Headcoach Lovie Smith vs Jon "Chucky" Gruden!! DAAAABears are truly back with their defense (Urlacher is bringing it Big Time) and more than capable offense lead by Kyle Orton!! Oh yeah don't forget about my boy Mushin Muhammed! As for the Bucs, young Sims is elevating his game very fast along with the Cadillac!! It's always nice to have a Cadillac running for you and Gruden is delighted to have Cadillac Williams running so hard and tenaciously for them. This will be a classic defensive battle and because of the defensive coordinator for the Bucs -- Monte Kippen -- he will get to Kyle Orton more than the Bears get to the young Sims!! Give it up to Gruden and Bucs by the end!

Atlanta Falcons vs Detroit Lions - Lions win by 3 points because IT IS THE THANKSGIVING TRADITION THAT THE LIONS WIN -- SIMPLE AS THAT!! The Lions always play well and extra hard on their day and this game will be no exception!! I have been to the Lions Thanksgiving day game several times and it is just one of those magical games for the Lions no matter who they play on this day. So even Michael Vick will have a difficult time in this game and somehow, someway the Lions will prevail! Hey it's tradition!

Week #11 Predictions

Buffalo Bills vs San Diego Chargers - Chargers win by 10 points because they are rested and Drew is ready! Indeed the Bills should feel good about themselves after last week's win over the Chiefs yet that win was just one win. It will not carry over to this week because the Chargers are a much better team than the Chiefs. Yes, now that J.P. Losman will get the start, he will not have the same day as he did last week. J.P. throws a great spiral and has a good arm. Yet his decision making process still has a ways to go. That's where Marty Schottenheimer will get the Chargers defense to apply big time pressure on J.P. and confuse him. As for Drew Brees, he will get back into the groove and get the ball in the hands of LaDamian and Antonio Gates. Although the secondary for the Bills is much improved with Malloy, Vincent, McGee and Clements stepping up (they will get an interception), it will not be enough against these Chargers!!

Miami Dolphins vs Cleveland Browns - Browns win by 3 points because of homefield advantage and the cold weather in Cleveland at this time of the year. Normally, I would have selected the Dolphins but because of the elements, I am changing my selection to the Cleveland Browns. Although the Dolphins have been improving each and every week particularly Zach Thomas, they are close in every game. In fact, the Dolphins almost beat the Patriots last week. Yet because of the elements, the Browns will play more of Browns football -- smash mouth and physical!! This will wear down the Dolphins front line and then they will be susceptible for the pass! Yes, the elements make a major difference in the games at this time of the year.

New Orleans Saints vs New England Patriots - Patriots win by 17 points because they are ready to explode again. It is quite obvious that the Patriots' injuries have cost them this season dearly! Yet week after week, the Patriots have attempted to fill in those gaps and play a high quality game. In most occasions in worked, in others it did not!! Last week, the Patriots played with pride and came back against those pesky Dolphins and won the game in the last few minutes. Well, this week the Patriots will come out a make a statement. That statement is -- WE ARE STILL CHAMPIONS!! Tom Brady will be throwing the ball everywhere and it looks like the Patriots discoverd a new running back. He is so new that I forgot his name! Watch for Deion Branch and with the return of Givens, the Patriots will light it up -- even in the cold elements of New England. As for the Saints and Aaron Brooks, they have called this a season. Yet watch out for their running back -- Smith -- to have a good day of running due to the fact, he was a previous Patriots player and played in the Superbowl! In any case, Bruschi and the boys will step up. As for cornerback Samuel, he still needs some serious help covering wide receivers!

New York Jets vs Denver Broncos - Broncos win by 14 points because Jake Plummer is in a groove! Yes, finally it looks like Jake Plummer has bought into Mike Shananhan's offensive game plans and is finally executing the offense. Jake is using his experience and his mobility to move the pocket right and left and then make the appropriate read to the open receiver. One of my favorite players, Rod Smith, is benefiting from Jake's adjustment as well as the running back tandem of Anderson and Bell. Additionally, the Broncos defense has stepped it up. They looked real good against the Raiders last week in which Champ Bailey (yes, he maybe a relative!!) got a nice interception Collins. As for the the Jets, Headcoach Herman Edwards is searching for a direction and unfortunately he will have a very long second half of the season. The third string quarterback does add spunk and energy to the offense yet he lacks the experience! That is the key in this game -- Experience!

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens - Steelers win by 20 points becasue the Ravens have no offense whatsoever! Whether it is Charlie Batch or Tommy Maddox, the Steelers will score points against the Ravens defense. As for the Ravens offense scoring points against the Steelers defense, that will be very hard to do due to the fact that Kyler Boller is a BUST AND HEADCOACH BRIAN BILLICK HAS RUINED THIS TEAM BY INVESTING EVERYTHING WITH THIS SUBPAR QUARTERBACK!! There will be no room for errors in this game for Kyle Boller yet he will make several!! The Steelers defense will cause Boller to be more confused and that's where it will get real ugly in this game and even those loyal fans in Ravens Stadium will boo Boller out of the stadium!!

Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals win by 3 points because they are rested and ready to dethrown the Colts winning streak! Marvin Lewis has the Bengals in the right frame of mind for this game and they are hungry to prove to the league that they are in the upper tier of the league! This is the game that will propell them to that level!! With Carson Palmer maturing rapidly and making better reads, the Bengals offense will score enough points in the air and on the ground. Rudi Johnson must step up big time in this game with several long runs from the line of scrimmage. The offensive line must take care Dwight Freeney from the Colts and you know Chad Johnson will have alot to say before and after this game on how he beat the cornerback that guards him. As for the Colts, Peyton is still in a groove!! He is definitely going for AFC MVP honors and continues to find another wrinkle to their offense. Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne will get their catches but will pay dearly on a few. Guess what -- Tony Dungy and Marvin Harrison -- two coaches who would have never faced each other just a few years ago. Wow, times have changed!

Kansas City Chiefs vs Houston Texans - Chiefs win by 17 points because they will make up for last week's poor performance of only 3 points! Dick Vermeill is under tremendous pressure this week and he has responded very well to the criticism. The Chiefs will go into Reliant Houston Stadium and play some serious football and get back to the basics on offense. They need to play power football and stop placing too much pressure on Trent Green to perform! He cannot do it himself and that is obvious. The Chiefs defense will need to shut down the Texans offense completely!! This will be the game the Chiefs defense will score a couple of touchdowns and intercept David Carr at least twice!! So this is a big statement game for the Chiefs and look for them to get back on track!!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tennessee Titans - Jaguars win by 7 points because they are a more balanced team at this point in the season. Even though the Titans are playing at home and McNair is back in stride, it will be the Jaguars defense and quarterback Leftwich who will make the plays by the end of the game. The Jaguars are winning the games that they are supposed to win and this will be a very important win on the road. Headcoach Jack DeRio has this team stepping up and they will definitely be a major factor in the run for the playoffs!

Oakland Raiders vs Washington Redskins - Redskins win by 4 points because of their tenacious defense will put too much pressure on Kerry Collins. If this game was played in Oakland, it might have a different outcome. Yet since this is played at FedEX stadium in Washington, the Redskins will take it to the Raiders with their defense playing extra aggressive and causing confusion on the Raiders offense. As for the Redskins offense, Brunnel will be able to pick apart the below average Raiders secondary. In the end, boy-owner Daniel Snyder will have a nice treat before the holidays!

Detroit Lions vs Dallas Cowboys - Cowboys win by 10 points because the Cowboys are starting to feel the incredible magic around them. Yes, these Cowboys are winning spectacularly and this game will be no different. Headcoach Bill Parcells is going through some tough time right now (the passing of his brother) yet he remains a dedicated coach!! That's why nothing will get in the way of this Cowboys team for the rest of the season. In fact, the Cowboys are putting things together very fast and the impact of Drew Bledsoe has catapolted them into the upper level of the NFC. Bledsoe will no doubt be All-Pro as well as Terry Glenn, Roy Williams and Just Throw me the D___ Ball Keyshawn Johnson. As for the Lions, Harrington is in a bit of groove, but in this game he will pressure much more thereby causing him to throw erractically! The Big D gets a win against the Lions by the end of the day.

Phildadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants - Giants win by 17 points because McNabb is gone and the GGGGG-Men are mad! After getting totally embarrassed by the Vikings last week, the GGGGGG-Men will come out and pound the Eagles defense! Eli Manning will get it going at the beginning of the game and not let up! Tiki, Shockey and Plexico will step up and not have an average game. As for the Eagles, they are spinning out of control with all the Owens controversy and the ruling with his pending situation. Talk about a circus atmosphere with the Eagles, it gets crazier and crazier each and every week! What will happen next, only time will tell! Give this game to the Giants handsdown!!

Carolina Panthers vs Chicago Bears - Bears win by 3 points because these are the new DAAAABEARS!. Indeed, I really like what Headcoach Lovie Smith is doing with the Bears by playing a very aggressive defense along with a much more open offense with Kyle Orton!! The Bears are not playing the same old Bear football! In fact, last week they featured some cool off-orange uniforms. (Can you believe that -- not wearing the tradition black uniforms but going with the off-orange! What would Dick Butkus say about that!). Yet the Panthers are playing very well because their defense is playing exceptionally well and quarterback Delhomme is not making the silly mistakes as he did last year. Along with All-world Steve Smith, the Panthers are tough. Yet THIS IS ONE OF MY UPSET PICKS FOR THE WEEKEND. Give it up to Chicago, the cold weather, Soldier stadium and DAAAAABEARS new tradition.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers - Packers win by 10 points because Brett has some new help at running back -- Gato! This new running back ran for over 150 yards last week against the Falcons and he looks like the real deal! This guy was preparing for a career outside of football just a couple of weeks ago and now he is the leading rusher for the Packers. Even Brett felt inspired by this young rookie!! In fact, the Packers put a great game plan together last week against Michael Vick and won that game easily!! So this week, I think they will prepared for the much improved Vikings with Brad Johnson. Wow, Brad Johnson looks very good and he will continue his outstanding performance. Yet it will not be enough against the newly inspired Packers team playing back in Lambeau field!!

Tampa Bay Bucs vs Atlanta Falcons - Falcons win by 3 points because Vick was embarrassed last week and will need to rebound. For some reason, Michael Vick is placing more pressure on himself than needed. That's what happened to him last week. Well, this week he will try to deflect much more of the media and begin to play his own game and that's it!! Yet this will be an excellent game because Headcoach Jon Gruden will have his defensive coordinator Monte Kippen to scheme an excellent defensive gameplan against Vick!! This will be a great chest match. Yet in the end, the breaks will go the Falcons way and if they don't -- watch for it to get kinda nasty in Atlanta!

Arizona Cardinals vs St. Louis Rams - Rams win by 7 points because they are a bit more experienced but what a classic matchup. The fact that Kurt Warner is coming back to St. Louis where he won the Superbowl with these Rams will be an excellent plot line. Warner will be playing excellently and truly challenge his former team. Fortunately for Warner, he has two spectacular wide receivers -- Bolden and Fitzgerald! This will be a high scoring game on each side! Talk about a circus environment, this one will definitely be one!! Then there are the Rams with quarterback Marc Bulger with Torry Holt and Issacc Bruuuuuuce!! Yes the tandem of wide receivers that Warner threw to when he was the Rams quarterback. In the end, everyone will feel good about this game even Kurt Warner in a loss to his former team!

Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers - Seattle wins by 17 points because they are the better team. Headcoach Mike Holmgren is using Shaun Alexander very well this year and Alexander is responding BIG TIME. Wow, this guy has completely elevated his game (of course it is a contract year) and taken over games. This game will be no different even though it is a westcoast type of game. Along with Hasselbeck and much improved Seahawk defense, the Seahawks are making the playoff run!!

Week #10 Predictions

Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills - Chiefs win by 3 points because of the Vermeil magic. Talk about a fantastic win last week by the Chiefs on the very last play of the game in which Larry Johnson scored and no more time left! Well the emotion from this game will transfer over to this week and the rest of the season for the Chiefs. This is the type of game that Trent really needed as well as the entire team. The Chiefs are a better team on average than a majority of the teams that they face, yet they still have a problem putting it all together. Well, last week they did it and I think this week, they will somehow do it again. Yet watch out for this well rested Buffalo team. The Bills will be very motivated to change this game in their favor and for a majority of the game, they will. McGahee will run hard and effective as well as boy Eric Moulds will be catching his physical passes. Yet in the end, it will be the Chiefs defense that will step up as well as Larry Johnson and Trent Green again!

New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins - Patriots win by 10 points because the Champs are mad! Wow, what a disappointing loss that the Patriots experienced this past week on Monday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning. Well, the Patriots know that their backs are up against the wall now so they are coming out fighting the best way that they can. Headcoach Bill Billichick realizes that he doesn't have the quality defensive players (particularly the secondary) as backups anymore! So now he has to rely more on Tom Brady to score more touchdowns. I think now you are going to see a much more wide open offense because they simply do not have the defense anymore. As for the Dolphins, they will play very tough in this game with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in the backfield. Of course, my boy Zach Thomas will definitely disruput several Patriots run and pass plays. Yet it will the Champs to salvage this game because now they are fighting for pride!!

New York Jets vs Carolina Panthers - Panthers win by 14 points because the Panthers are on a roll. Talk about a team that is still under the radar, it is the Panthers. Although the Panthers are not receiving alot of national publicity, they have effectively taken care of their opponents each and every week. Jake Delhomme is throwing more to Steve Smith and Smith does the rest!! Additionally, the Panthers defense is a major force and it will do the same against the Jets. Whether it's Vinny or Bollinger (who is getting better), it really will not matter against the Panthers. The Panthers will have it rolling in this game!

Baltimore Ravens vs Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaguars win by 10 points because the Ravens stink and so does their Headcoach Billick! Yes, I said it and now everyone knows the end is near for Headcoach Billick. After a chance to beat the Bengals last week, the weakness of the Ravens team showed again with their backup quarterback -- Anthony Wright. Once he got hurt in last week's game, surprisingly Kordell Stewart came in for a series and moved the team very effectively. Yet that was it for Kordell and now he is no longer with the Ravens team! So which quarterback is really better on the Ravens team now -- Wright or Kyle Boller? Neither, yet Boller gets the start this week so watch for a disaster from the Ravens offense again and complete embarrassement because Jack DelRio's team will put a hurtin' on the Ravens this week!

Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Steelers win by 14 points because they are on a roll and they are the Steelers. The Steelers are one of the better teams in the league offensively and defensively. If their offense sputters, then their defense takes it up a notch. Well, it looks like Big Ben will be back and he has to maintain his discipline in throwing to his receivers. Of course, now that Duce Staley is back the running attack gets better as well. As for the Browns, they are playing a bit better and their defense has improved. Yet it will be a bit too much for Trent Dilfer to figure out and to manage long drives. In the end, the Steel curtain takes it to the Browns.

Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts - Colts win by 20 points because of Peyton, Peyton and more Peyton. It's hard to get to ready for this game for the Colts, but this will not be the case this time for the Colts. Headcoach Tony Dungy will have the Colts to play well against the Texans due to the fact that they wanted to prove so hard to beat the Patriots last week. This will be the test for the Colts to rebound and keep their game at a high level and they will. The Texans on the otherhand will be desperate to keep David Carr from not getting sacked on every play!! Dwight Freeney will have a field day and so with the rest of the defense. This is a game that should be called before they start, but the Texans still have a little pride left and may just score 3 points in this lopsided game.

Denver Broncos vs Oakland Raiders - Broncos win by 7 points because these Broncos have elevated their game! I think this is the year where Jake Plummer is finally adjusted to the Shanahann philosophy and Shanahann has adjusted the offense to the talents to Jake Plummer. Plummer is a mobile quarterback and they will move the pocket right and left successfully! Once Jake stays successful, the running game with Anderson and Tatum Bell will dominate the Raiders front line. Of course, the Raiders will challenge the Broncos defense, but the Broncos will be ready! Wow, what a matchup -- Champ Bailey vs Randy Moss -- Classic matchup. Champ will not get burnt in this game! In the end, the Broncos will take this game!

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles win by 10 points because of the Philly homefield advantage! Talk about a classic matchup -- This is the game that the Eagles desperately need due to all the hype with Terrell Owens!! Thus to prove that they can win without Terrell, Donovan McNabb will play out of this world!! Indeed the Cowboys will match the intensity and even Drew Bledsoe will hit Terry Glenn and KeyShawn (Just throw me the D___ Ball) on a couple of key plays, it will not be near enough against the very angry and determined Eagles team. This is a game for pride and the Philly pride is tested. In the end, Philly takes this game even without loud-mouth talking, big-headed Terrell Owens!

Minnesota Vikings vs New York Giants - Giants win by 14 points because of Eli, Eli and more Eli! Normally, I would not say this but the Giants are putting everything together this year. Eli has matured, the running game has elevated, Shockey has calmed down and the defense has stepped up. The GGGGGG-Men will take it to this disjointed Vikings team. Yet the Vikings have somewhat stabilized themselves with veteran quarterback Brad Johnson. Brad is performing very well and he will be somewhat successful in this game. Yet the Giants will try to blitz him alot. Watch for Brad to check out and go deep on several plays. Nonetheless, the GGGGG-Men will get back to the basics and take it to this newly inspired Vikings team.

Washington Redskins vs Tampa Bay Bucs - Bucs win by 10 points because of Headcoach Jon Chucky Gruden. The Bucs have not been playing well the past 2 games and now they are going to get back on the winning ways!! Gruden will go with Tim Rattay as the starting quarterback now and this looks like the answer for the struggling offense of the Bucs. If Rattay picks up the offense, the Bucs will get their game in order. Yet the blitzing Redskins defense will be on a major attack all throughout the game. Regardless of the defensive scheme of the Redskins, the Bucs defense will shut down Brunnell's offense and actually score a couple of touchdowns themselves causing several Redskins turnovers. In the end, the Redskins will be frustrated with their poor offensive performance and the Bucs will get a buccaneer of a win!!

San Francisco 49ers vs Chicago Bears - Bears win by 14 points because this is Soldier stadium and Bear football!! It's that time of the year and the Bear tradition is beginning to rise to the occasion!! Quarterback Kyle Orton has truly stepped up big time and will most likely get Rookie of the Year because he is the REAL DEAL!! With a steady running attack as well, the Bears look like they are in very good place to make it to the playoffs!! As for the 49ers, they are in desperation time. Watch for All-Pro Brian Urlacher to have a field day as well as Mike Brown and Jerry Azumah!! Yes, you can say it -- DA BEARS win again!!

Arizona Cardinals vs Detroit Lions - Lions win by 7 points because of homefield advantage. Last week, the Lions were outplayed by the Vikings and Joey Harrington will definitely be traded or just let go by the end of the season. Harrington looked bad last week so that's why Garcia is the man for the Lions for next couple of years!! As for the Cardinals, Kurt Warner will start yet it will not change anything with the Cardinals. The Cardinals have been a disappointment this year because they have so much talent. Headcoach Dennis Green is not utilizing this talented young team effectively enough so he will be in the hotseat very soon if they do not get a few wins left in the seaon. Yet in this game, the Lions restore the roar in the MotorCity!

Green Bay Packers vs Atlanta Falcons - Falcons win because of Michael Vick period!! This was a game that should have featured two of the best teams in the NFC. Yet due to the fact that Packers have lost most of their talent through injury and inexperience, this will not be a good game for Brett. Brett is in a very tough position again trying to keep the Packers respectable. Talk about a professional -- Brett continues to take on all the criticism from the media and continue to give it his all! Yet this is Michael Vick time!! Vick will make the Packers look very bad in this game and Vick will use this game as a highlight film. With Warrick Dunn playing like an All-Pro, the Falcons dominate big time in Georgia Dome!

St. Louis Rams vs Seattle Seahawks - Seahawks win by 14 point because they are playing like Division Champions! It looks now that Headcoach Mike Holmgren got his veterans to elevate their game and the rest of the team has come along for the ride. Hasselbeck and Alexander are playing like All-Pro again and they are dominating. Indeed, Alexander has taken over the league with his performance and HE DOES HAVE THE SPEED!! As for the Rams, they are playing for respectability and trying to keep things together but it is way to late! Seahawks fly big time!!

Week #9 Predictions

Atlanta Falcons vs Miami Dolphins - Falcons win by 3 points because it is still the Michael Vick show. Now, this is going to be a better game than alot of experts think. The Dolphins have all of a sudden found a one-two punch with their running attack with Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown. Finally, Headcoach Nick Saban is utilizing this tandem of running backs together to get the most of this Dolphins offense. Even Gus Ferrotte is settling down in his role as starting quarterback. With big play wide receiver Chris Chambers stepping up, the offense is taking it up another level. Then there is the Dolphins defense with my boy Zach Thomas getting in on practically every tackle!! Of course, defensive back Sam Madison will make a play or two in the secondary. With all of this going for Dolphins and homefield advantage, it will still not be enough against the Falcons. If Michael Vick stays healthy, the Falcons will make just enough plays to get this win! Running back Warrick Dunn is also playing at an All-Pro level again. Talk about stepping it up -- Warrick Dunn is truly a warrior. Finally, the tenacious Falcons defense with their improved secondary will bend but not break against the Dolphins wide receivers. This will be a very competitive game and it may just go down to the last few seconds of the game!!

Indianapolis Colts vs New England Patriots - Patriots win by 1 point because they are still the Champs!! I know what you are thinking and you are right!! The Colts have won all their games, Peyton Manning is breaking all passing records again, and the Colts defense has Dwight Freeney!! The Colt are unstoppable. Indeed, you are correct!! Yet now the Colts scoring machine comes to Gillett stadium in New England and that's where the Colts dominance takes a back seat. As for the Patriots, they are playing with alot of second team players and still have several key plays injured. Yet these are the Patriots and Tom Brady is still the best quarterback in the league!! This is a CLASSIC MATCH UP OF ALL TIME. When the big game is on line, somehow the Patriots find a way to step up. Oh yeah, there is one other thing that I need to mention. It is TEDDY BRUSCHI -- the emotional leader on defense is back and bigger than ever!! I know he can't do everything on defense, but his prescence on the field and experience is infectious and causes his teammates to elevate their game also. If the Patriots can stay in this game early and disrupt the passing attack of Manning early, the Patriots can somehow get this very emotional win by the end. However, if they do not make quick adjustments to Manning arial show, then it could be another long day for the Patriots. Somehow, I like my chances with Brady and the scrappy gang of no-name defensive players of the Patriots!

San Diego Chargers vs New York Jets - Chargers win by 10 points because they are a more talented! The Chargers are no doubt a very talented team and Drew Brees is continually benefitting from this talent. With superstar LaDamian in the backfield, he will showcase his skill big-time in this game. Look for some very long runs by LaDamian in this game!! If it is not LaDamian, then it will be Antonio Gates taking it to the endzone against one of the average defensive backs of the Jets. As for Chargers defense, they should be able to handle Vinny and the Jets in check!! Vinny will redeem himself in this game but it will not be enough. As for the Jets defense, it looks like Ty Law's days are numbered at corner! Watch for Ty to make some special plays in this game because this is the game to step up!! In the end, the Chargers are too talented. Hopefully, Headcoach Marty Schotteheimer will not blow it again!

Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens - Ravens win by 1 point because of homefield advantage. If it wasn't for homefield advantage, I would have definitely selected the Bengals in this game. The Bengals are getting back into stride yet they are still a little shaky now particularly when they should win the games that they should. Technically, the Bengals have a better offensive scheme and better offensive players than the Ravens and their defense have dramatically improved. Carson Palmer is maturing yet he is still susceptible for critical mistakes. That's where I think the Ravens defense will step up big time in this game. The Ravens have absolutely nothing to lose now and my boy Ray Lewis (if he plays) will have this Ravens defense psyched up more than you can imagine!! This is the game that the defense will take over the game! IT'S DESPERATION TIME IN BALTIMORE AND THE FRUSTRATION WILL SHOW!! Yet it will be contained a bit more so watch for more turnovers in this game which will lead to points for the Ravens. As you know, I think Headcoach Brian Billick will get fired this year and actually deserves it (Ouch -- sorry about that Brian Billick!). Yet, my boy Deion (remember Deion) watch for him to make a big play in this game -- it's about time!! Then there is my boy Ed Reed -- he plays a very serious corner and his technique is tight!! With the defense stepping up big time, the Ravens will have the Raven Stadium rockin' and rollin'!

Tennessee Titans vs Cleveland Browns - Browns win by 1 point because of the DOGPOUND!! Although the Browns have been playing some very inconsistent ball, I still give the edge to the Browns. I'm sure Headcoach Crennel doesn't know which team will show up in this game -- the tenacious hard hitting Brown team or the very lathargic offense. Trent Dilfer is a capable quarterback and he does have some capable play makers on offense. In this game, the Brown will go to the running attack with Rueben Droughns and William Green. Wide receiver Braylon Edwards will go against PacMan Jones of the Titans -- this is a good matchup! Oh yeah, my boy Steve McNair will definitely throw at least a couple of touchdowns in this game. Yet it will be the attitude of the Browns and playing for pride which will give the Browns against the Titans younger team!

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers - Steelers win by 3 points because the Packers have lost too many players. Normally, I would pick Brett Favre and the Packers hands-down!! Yet this year has been a very, very tough year for Brett and the Packers. Literally, Brett doesn't have practically any weapons at all so all of the responsibility falls on his shoulders!! This causes Brett to throw too many times thereby too many interceptions. The Steelers defense is just too good and balanced at this time. The blitzing defense of the Steelers with strong safety Troy Polamalu is a force (by the way, Polamalu will make the All-Pro team this year!). Even though big Ben Roethlisberger will not play in this game, veteran quarterback Charlie Batch will make just enough quality plays and control the clock to get the Steelers in the endzone enough. Even though I don't think Cowher is fair coach and easily gets rid of players before their prime, Cowher will get this win luckily again!!

Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaguars win by 17 points because they are simply the much better team! The Houston Texans have been a complete disappointment this year and although they beat the Browns last week, their only win of the season will just be that -- their only win! David Carr is a capable quarterback and that is it! On the otherhand, the Jaguars with Leftwich are an improving team that is capable to stop any team in the league. The Jaguars will rebound this week and make this a statement game!! Jaguars all the way!

Oakland Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs - Chiefs win by 10 points because of homefield advantage. It looks like the Raiders are on a bit of a roll with a couple of back to back wins yet now they are going against a very hungry and talented team in the Chiefs. Kerry Collins will have his hands full in this game as well as Randy Moss! The Chiefs defense will be max blitzing all throughout this game to disrupt the passing attack and to stop LaMont Jordan's running. Since the Chiefs defense will step up in this game, Trent Green will really challenge the Raiders secondary and go to the X-Factor for the big plays! Oh yeah, Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson rebound with an outstanding running attack and pound the Raiders into the ground! Yes, I said pound the Raiders in Arrowhead Stadium!

New York Giants vs San Francisco 49ers - Giants win by 10 points because of a very balanced attack of the GGGGGGGG-Men! It appears that the Giants have truly matured very rapidly with several convincing wins lately and they are starting to separate themselves from the pack. This is a game in which the GGGGGGG-Men take it to the 49ers. Brother Eli is stepping up and making plays. Although his mechanics still need to improve (step up into the pocket and stop throwing going backwards!), Eli is making better decisions. With Tiki having a 200 yard day last week, he will continue his tenacious hard running style. Along with Shockey and Plexico, the GGGGGG-Men take it to the very scrappy 49ers team. The major problem with the 49ers is their quarterback!! Who is going to start in this game? So much for the prize number one pick rookie -- Alex Smith!

Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins - Eagles win by 14 points because they are the much better team! The Eagles must get back on the winning ways and this is the game to make a statement! Although the Redskins will be coming all out against McNabb, the Eagles will be ready! They will have to get Westbrook more involved and then isolate Owens on one of the below average defensive backs of the Redskins! (most likely against Shawn Springs!). By the way, the Eagles defense with middle linebacker Trotter will get revenge against the Redskins offense. Yes, the Eagles defense will be bringing the pain against Brunnel and Clinton Portis!! By the end of the day, Headcoach Gibbs and boy owner Snyder will wonder what happen to this season so fast!! Time for reality to sink in very fast for the Redskins organization!!

Chicago Bears vs New Orleans Saints - Bears win by 7 points because they can sense a Central division title! Yes, the Bears are elevating their game and this is a game that they are quite capable of winning on the road. Normally, I would not say that they could do this, but Headcoach Lovie Smith got this young Bear team believing in themselves and playing BEAR football!! Quarterback Kyle Orton continues to impress everyone and most likely will get top rookie honors by the end of the season. With Muhammad making clutch catches and becoming even more of an all-pro, DA BEARS will take it to the confused Saints team. Of course on defense, the Bears have Mr. Brian Urlacher -- headed for another Pro-Ball season -- who has the defense flying around and causing multiple turnovers. I really like how they scheme their defense by rotating the safeties around and coming on the deep delayed safety blitzes!! It's unpredictable yet very effective. They will get to quarterback Aaron Brooks and cause multiple turnovers!! In the end, DA BEARS will win!!

Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings - Lions win by 3 points because Culpepper is out for the Vikings for the rest of the season!! Just when I thought the Lions were coming together, they lose a critical game last week. Well, this week they will put it together just enough to beat the Vikings. It looks like Mariucci will go to Harrington as starting quarterback -- which I do not agree with!! If Harrington blows this one, it means he will traded by the end of the season so this is make or break for Harrington!! Simple as that!!

Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Bucs -- Panthers win by 7 points because they have more offense and Steve Smith! Thus far, Smith has been the total offense for the Panthers. The only thing Jake Delhomme needs to do is to get the ball in Smith's hands! After that, Smith dominates and scores!! The Panthers defense is outstanding as well as the Bucs!! Indeed the Bucs defense will step it up BIG TIME IN THIS GAME. This will be a classic game. Yet the big uncertainty for the Bucs is the quarterback position. Will it be Sims or newly acquired Rattay? Whichever the case, it will not be enough for this very crucial game. Yet don't count out Headcoach Jon "Chucky" Gruden!! This is a game to watch!! Serious hitting in this game!!

Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals - Seahawks win by 10 points because they are the better team and they have been playing better on the road. In the past, you really couldn't say this about a Seahawk team yet now with maturity, the Seahawks are finding a way to win on the road. Quarterback Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander are leading this team all the way to the playoffs! As for Headcoach Dennis Green, his young Cardinal team still makes too many mistakes and need some new leadership! Indeed they will play very well in this game and make it a very competitive game. Of course, I am really excited about their wide receivers -- Boldin and Fitzgerald -- but it will not be enough again!! Someone else needs to step up for the Cardinals!

Week #8 Predictions

Buffalo Bills vs New England Patriots - Patriots win by 10 points because they are still the Champions and Tedy Bruschi is BACK!! Although he will take it very careful on his comeback, just the fact that Bruschi is in the locker room, on the practice field and suiting up for the game gives the Patriots entire team the enthusiasm to get back on track! Bill Belichick will have the Patriots in the right mind frame offensively and defensively. Brady will use Dillon more and the running attack must be better incorporated into the offensive game plan. Then, Brady needs to go more to Givens and of course All-Pro Deion Branch!! There is no set of defensive backs that can stay with Branch and Given. Watch for these guys to have a big day against the Bills secondary! As for the Patriots defense, they will definitely step up now! Richard Seymore is supposed to be back, Bruschi may see limited plays, and the secondary will step up. The Bills, however, are in capable hands with Kelly Holcomb and of course McGahee and Eric Molds. But it will be the Bills defense that will be their weak spot. Brady and the Champs will take it to the Bills in primetime! Watch for the Patriots to step it up by the end of the game -- big time!!

Miami Dolphins vs New Orleans Saints - Saints win by 3 points because they are playing this game in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and that's a big time home advantage. Headcoach Jim Haslett has had to endure some poor decision calls by referrees during the past couple of games in their losses. Then, of course with the move from city to city for a home game gets daunting to say the least! Haslett will get rewarded in this game because the Saints players will come to play throughout the entire game. With Aaron Brooks playing somewhat better and Antwoine Smith carrying the ball, the Saints are establishing more of a balance on offense. Their defense is also dramatically stepping it up!! As for the Dolphins, Headcoach Saban does not have any continuity on his offense or defense. Quarterback Gus Ferrotte has not settled down yet (making silly mistakes occasionally) and the running attack with Ricky Williams has not established itself. Thus a majority of the pressure falls on the defense and All-Pro Zach Thomas. Zach has been playing phenomenial in every game and he continues to fly around like no other linebacker in the league (Yes, that includes Ray Lewis too!). Yet in the end of the day for this game, the Saints prevail because of their new homefield advantage.

Green Bay Packers vs Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals win by 10 points because they were completely embarrassed last week by the Steelers! Marvin Lewis was surprised how the Bengals made continuous mistakes last week so that will definitely not happen this week. A majority of the mistakes will be eliminated so the Bengals will be able to outperform the Packers because they are more talented team than the Packers. Carson Palmer needs to use more of his ability and better decision making in the pocket on key downs! As for the Bengals defense, they definitely need to step up! Yet there is always Brett Favre for the Packers. Favre has put this young Packer team on his shoulders again and I will not be surprised how well they will play in this game. Unfortunately, Brett has lost his starting running back for the season -- Ahmad Green -- and one of his wide receivers will be out. Thus Brett must do it again. Yet it is more the Packers defense that plays very poorly! In the end, the Bengals take out their frustration against the Packers.

Cleveland Browns vs Houston Texans - Browns win by 3 points because the Texans are still a confused team offensively. Normally, I would have picked the Texans in this game, yet they do not know what's going on offensively. David Carr looks more confused and front line is a joke. The Browns will apply additional pressure on this game to David Carr and Romeo Crennel will get just enough game from Trent Dilfer to make a difference in this game. The Texans are a team in total decline and if they do not play well in this game, it will definitely be the end for the entire coaching staff!

Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Steelers win by 14 points because the Ravens offense is horrible! Yes, Brian Billick will have his hands full and look twice as frustrated on the sidelines during this game. Now that Ray Lewis is out of this game, the Ravens defense will not be able to keep up with the Steelers running attack. Guided by Big Ben Roethleisberger (Miami Univ - Ohio!), the Steelers will continue to dominate the line of scrimmage with the running attack. Then, later they will go on top with the pass. Yes, the Steelers will even challenge my boy Deion Sanders! Yet since this game is a Monday Night Football game, watch for Deion to display his Prime Time form just one more time! In the end, Billick will look even more ridiculous and all the blame should rest on his shoulders!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs St. Louis Rams - Jaguars win by 7 points because of their very good defense. Talk about a defense with no superstars, the Jaguars defense is it! Headcoach Jack DelRio really knows how to keep this team together and focused even despite not being noticed by other teams. Somehow they know how to shut down other teams and they do it very effectively! As for the Rams, they are in complete disarray since Headcoach Mike Martz is done for the year because of a serious heart infection. Thus, Jamie Martin, the backup to the Marc Bulger, will have to struggle against the Jaguars defense. Oh yeah, Jaguars quarterback Leftwich will have a fun day!

Oakland Raiders vs Tennessee Titans - Titans win by 3 points because Steve McNair is back! Yes, McNair is back after a tough week and he will take charge of this team from now on! This is a big game for the Titans so Headcoach Jeff Fisher will have the team ready for Oakland -- offensively and defensively. Titans linebacker Keith Bullock will be puttin' a hurtin' on running back LaMont Jordan and then the secondary of Pacman Jones and Andre Wollfolk will team up to contain Randy Moss! This game will be a classic matchup of AFC rivals and the best will come out of this game! This is a game to watch!

Philadelphia Eagles vs Denver Broncos - Broncos win by 7 points because of a more balanced attack offensively and defensively. Believe me, Headcoach Mike Shanahann will have his Broncos ready for this game due to the fact, he knows the Eagles weak spots. The Eagles weak spots are their running attack and their defensive secondary. That's why the Broncos and Jake Plummer will have a different game plan in this game. Plummer will move the pocket alot in this game, going left and then right. After constantly being on the move in the first half, the Eagles defense will be tired by the second half and that's where the running attack of the Broncos will do well as well as the passing! On defense, Champ Bailey will go man-up with Terrell Owens and shut down Owens completely. Yes, I take Champ Bailey over Terrell Owens any day of the week! In the end, the Broncos take it to Philly in the Mile Hile (close to it) stadium.

Kansas City Chiefs vs San Diego Chargers - Chargers win by 10 points because of LaDamian Thomplinson! Yes, LaDamian is eager to prove to the Chiefs that no other team can shut him down! LaDamian will come out fast and hard and completely disrupt the Chiefs defense. As for Drew Brees, he has to pick up his game and not make silly mistakes. Yes, Brees quarterbacking is much better this year, yet he needs to learn how to finish a game and continously make first downs! Talk about a fantastic matchup between coaches -- Marty Schottenheimer vs Dick Vermeil -- two classic coaches! It doesn't get any better than this!! The Chargers defense must find a way to slow down Trent Green, Preist Holmes, Larry Johnson and the X-factor. It's time to step up and the team that most likely step up -- are the Chargers!!

Washington Redskins vs New York Giants - Giants win by 10 points because of the Eli effect! Yes, the Eli effect is in full-effect! After his spectacular play last week, Eli has elevated this team to another level. The fact that Eli is maturing well, understanding the plays and the defenses more, and making the right plays, the GGGGGGGGGG-Men are benefitting from his maturity! Oh yes, the Giants defense is very good too! The GGGGGG-Men are peaking at the right time because the Redskins are on a high note themselves. Mark Brunnel has been rejuvenated and Santana Moss has brought speed to the wide receiving position. Yet the good times for the Redskins will be rapidly coming to an end!! In fact, it is going to be a disasterous day for the Redskins and a delightful day for the GGGGGGGGGGG-Men!

Arizona Cardinals vs Dallas Cowboys - Cowboys win by 14 points because Parcells will get this team mentally ready to make a run for the division title. The Cowboys know that they have a great chance to take control of this division so they must win the games that they are supposed to win. This is one game that they are supposed to win. Drew Bledsoe must continue to make the plays as well as Keyshawn and Terry Glenn. As for the Cardinals, watch for all-pro Boldin and Fitzgerald to go deep on several occasions!! Yet in the end, the Cowboys will apply too much pressure to their young quarterback -- McNown and he will turnover the ball.

Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions - Lions win by 7 points because of the insertion of Jeff Garcia. It's amazing that one person can make a difference, but in this case it is Jeff Garcia. Garcia has replaced Joey Harrington in which most the Lions players have been waiting for several weeks. Well, now Garcia brings experience, veteran leadership and mobility in the pocket! With such new leadership and confidence, the Lions will step up in this game offensively and defensively against the Bears. Whereas Bears quarterback, Kyle Orton will feel more pressure this week due to the fact that the Lions are taking a stance and attempting to lead this Central Division which presently does not have a clear leader. So in the end, Mariucci will squelch alot of criticism and get the Lions back on track!

Minnesota Vikings vs Carolina Panthers - Panthers win by 17 points because the Vikings are really, really bad! Oh yeah, they won last week, but they are not going to have the luck this week. The Panthers are too good of team to allow this to happen and they will simply overpower and outplay this ridiculous coached Mike Tice team and destroy them. Jake Delhomme will have a field day and enjoy the success of this day for a very long time.

Tampa Bay Bucs vs San Francisco 49ers - Bucs win by 10 points because this is Headcoach Gruden's weekend! Gruden aka "Chucky" has the team that he wanted for a couple of years after retooling and trading certain key players. Now with Cadillac Williams back, the running attack will go full steam ahead. Overall, the Bucs are a very balanced team and the 49ers are just starting to get a real direction now that they are committed to rookie quarterback Alex Smith who by the way will not start in this game!! Although the 49ers will play with much pride in this game, they will go down by the end!

Week #7

Buffalo Bills vs Oakland Raiders - Raiders win by 3 points because of desperation time with the Oakland's coaching staff. Headcoach Norv Turner is about ready to be fired by owner Al Davis and he will do anything in this game to save his job at least for one more game. The way the Raiders were outmatched last week against the Chargers was a total embarrassment to the entire Raider organization! Now that Randy Moss is out for several weeks, it looks like the Raiders offense will have to rely more on Kerry Collins and LaMont Jordan to get things done. Although that is not the greatest situation to be in, but this is all that Norv Turner has to work with. Oh yeah, there is Jerry Porter too which is currently playing himself into an average receiver again!! Fortuantely, they are going against the Bills at this time. Indeed the Bills are much, much better with Kelly Holcomb as quarterback and Willis McGahee is stepping up every week. Yet the Bills are still not elevating their game as high as I thought they would by this time in the season. Their defense is susceptible through the air as well as a controlled running attack. Therefore, since the Bills have not elevated up to another level yet, I think the Raiders will take it to them and be even more hungrier this week because it is do or die this week for Norv Turner and entire coaching staff! Even Warren Sapp may get a sack!

Kansas City Chiefs vs Miami Dolphins - Chiefs win by 7 point because they have more experience. This is a classic matchup between two AFL teams!! On paper, it may not seem like an important game but this is one for the ages!! The Chiefs are coming into this game with a good win from Washington and the Dolphins have lost another one! The Dolphins are quite capable of winning this game, it is just that they do not stick with a game plan whether running or passing. Their is no continuity on offense. Now that Ricky Williams is back, the Dolphins should stick with more of a running attack and pound Williams again and again and then mix in the passing!! Yet they will not do that! Of course, that type of strategy falls right into the hands of a Dick Vermeil team -- powerful, controlled running and controlled passing and eating up the clock. Trent Green will continue to elevate his game as well as Priest Holmes, Tony Gonzalez, Larry Johnson and the X-factor! Too many weapons for the Dolphins to handle at this time even playing at home!

New York Jets vs Atlanta Falcons - Falcons win by 14 points because it is too much Michael Vick!! The Jets are very lucky to have Vinny Testaverde at quarterback yet even the magic of Vinny is no contest against the multi-talented Falcons. With Warrick Dunn running like another All-Pro running back and Vick staying somewhat healthy, the Falcons are way too much for the Jets and Ty Law! As for the Falcons defense, they maybe still undersized, yet they fly around!! Headcoach Jim Mora Jr. will have alot to be happy about after this game and maybe he will even Jack somebody up on the sidelines!

Baltimore Ravens vs Chicago Bears - Bears win by 7 points because they are starting to realize that they can win the Central Division!! With the way that the other Central Divison teams are playing now (Packers, Vikings and Lions), the Chicago Bears are realizing that they can win this division out right!! Fortunately for them, here comes the Ravens. The Ravens have a very lack luster offense and a defense that continues to step it up!! The frustration that my boys Ray Lewis and Deion Sanders are feeling, is tearing them apart. They know that they could be a much better team if the organization invested much more money into the offense particularly the quarterback position. In any case, the Bears are putting things together offensively and defensively. Even though Kyle Orton will get a lot of pressure in this game, I think he will find just enough to make the necessary plays. Oh yeah, don't forget about Chicago's defense with Brian Urlacher and Chris Brown!! This will be a classic matchup between two outstanding linebackers -- Urlacher and Lewis!! I can feel the hits already!!

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals -- Bengals win by 4 points because they are ready to take over this AFC North Division!! Headcoach Marvin Lewis has his team playing better but not exactly how he wants them, but that's ok for now. Well, now the true test comes against the Steelers. The Bengals must play their A game now and in fact they will!! The Bengals are now in the driver's seat and the Steelers are looking up to them. The Steelers are hurting because of their last lost against the Jaguars in overtime and the fact that big Ben is coming back early from a knee injury (not good!). So the pressure is on the Steelers big-time to get a win. Yet it will not be enough and Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson will have their A game as well as the Bengals defense. Yes, it will get crazy in the JUNGLE AND THE BENGALS WILL TAKE IT TO THE STEELERS IN THIS CLASSIC GAME!!

Detroit Lions vs Cleveland Browns - Browns win by 7 points because of homefield advantage and the demise of the Lions organization! Apparently, word is out in the Motorcity that Headcoach Mariucci has lost control of his players and they are completely frustrated with the offense and Joey Harrington. Since Headcoach Mariucci has not taken a definitive action, the players are voicing their opinion!! This is not good at all! Players like Dre Bly and others have voiced their opinion! In any case, the Lions will suffer against a very aggressive Browns defense and Trent Dilfer will rebound this week and take it to the Lions defense. It will be the Browns defense that makes the key turnovers in this game and Dilfer settling down this week. The Browns are hungry and the Dogs in Cleveland will have something to bark about!!

Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans - Colts win by 20 points because the Texans are BAD!! This is a game that doesn't need to be played at all! Yes, I can't believe that I would say something like this but these are two mismatched teams. The Colts have won all their games and Peyton is setting all type of records whereas the Texans have lost all of their games and look hopeless!! You would think that this maybe an ideal upset situation, but hold that thought -- it is not going to happen. Colts dominate and Carr and the Texans get more frustrated!

Tennessee Titans vs Arizona Cardinals - Cardinals win by 7 points because they are playing at home and the Cardinals are very hungry for a win!! Indeed, the Titans have been playing some much improved ball and I really like what they are doing. My boy Steve McNair looks good yet they are playing on the road at Sun Devil stadium and Headcoach Dennis Green has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. That means that the Cardinals will have extra schemes for this game and this is a winnable game for them. I think that they will take advantage of it and whichever quarterback starts (Warner or McNown), widereceivers Bolton and Fitzgerald will take it to the endzone!!

Denver Broncos vs New York Giants - Giants win by 4 points because they will eliminate alot of their mistakes in the redzone! Indeed the Broncos looked very good in their win against the Patriots last week, yet now they play on the road against the G - Men! This will be a physical game and the Giants will take it to the Broncos up the middle and pound them. Even though, I think that Jake will have a good solid game, he will still make a couple of mistakes that will cost the Broncos a critical situation. As for Eli, he is getting better each week. Believe me, Headcoach Mike Shanahan will apply alot of pressure to Eli, but somehow he will get enough time to hit Plexico Burris and Jeremy Shockey for some key drives and a touchdown!! This will be a very intriguing game yet I think it will come down to the physicallity of the Giants that will prevail.

San Diego Chargers vs Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles win by 3 points because they need a big time win to get back on track!! Wow, now this is a classic game!! The physical Eagles versus the finesse of the Chargers! By far, the MVP of the AFC is LaDamian Tomlinson!! LaDamian will get his yards in this game and so will Antonio Gates! Yet Drew Brees will have to come up with some other big time plays for the Chargers to win this game. Brees is quite capable, but I think it will be the Philly defense that will rise to the occasion and of course Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens will have to say something about it on offense. Oh yeah, don't forget about Westbrook who will definitely be isolated on one of the Chargers linebacker -- mismatch and an instant score for the Eagles. By the end of this game, all the Philly fans will be delighted to have another Philly Cheesesteak (Hold the Cheese please!)

Dallas Cowboys vs Seattle Seahawks - Seahawks win by 7 point because they have been playing a very balanced game - offensively and defensively! This will be a very competitive game and the Cowboys are coming off a great win against the Giants. Drew Bledsoe continues to up his game and all the other players are elevating their game as well. Yet the Seahawks have finally made the turn to a true playoff team. Headcoach Mike Holmgren is getting a better handle on the players and Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander are showing their veteran leadership. The Seahawks defense is also stepping up so I think they will clamp down the Cowboys offense by the end!

San Francisco 49ers vs Washington Redskins - Redskins win by 14 points because they are more talented overall. How lucky can you get if you are the Redskins with this matchup? Well, it is the scrappy, young 49ers coming to FedEx field in DC with their rookie quarterback!! The Redskins defense will put so much pressure on the rookie quarterback that it will be a joke! Brunnell will have a spectacular day hitting Santana Moss on at least 2 touchdowns!! Redskins roll and owner Daniel Snyder and throwback headcoach Joe Gibbs will have their LAST WEEK to cheer!

Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings - Packers win by 10 points because the Vikings are total disarray and nobody cares anymore!! It is truly sad to see a professional team in complete disarray but the Vikings are! Headcoach Mike Tice knows that he is gone and doesn't want to come up with anymore excuses!! Culpepper has put too much pressure on himself and continues to make mistakes. As for the Packers, Brett is guiding them back to respectability very fast and just may have a chance to sneak into this division and win it by the end!! Although Brett usually has a difficult time with the Vikings, however, in this game Brett gets off and scores several touchdowns!!

New Orleans Saints vs St. Louis Rams - Rams win by 10 point because of homefield advantage and revenge from last week's lost against the Colts! The Rams are an embarrassed team and feels the desperate need to correct their play. Luckily the Saints have arrived and the Rams will attempt to make this a very uptempo game and simply outscore the Saints offense. Indeed they will! Steven Jackson is a big-time back, but he is not finishing games off like he should. That's why Marshall Faulk is still such a vitale back and needs more playing time in different situations. If the interim coaching staff continues to use more of Faulk watch for more big plays and touchdowns. I like the Rams to rebound in this game.

Week #6 NFL Predictions - Big Time Surprise Wins Coming This Weekend!

Week #6

New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills - Bills win by 7 points because of homefield advantage and new starting quarterback Kelly Holcomb. The Bills look like they have a real quarterback now and Holcomb has a calm prescence for in the pocket. This was definitely not the case with J.P. Losman! Now with Holcomb, the offense runs smoother and when it is time to check out of a play, Holcomb can do it! Oh yeah, the Jets now have Vinny Testeverde, who won last week also! Indeed the Jets are playing inspiring football, but now the Bills have the upperhand and the attitude to win this game.

Miami Dolphins vs Tampa Bay Bucs - Bucs win by 3 points because of the return of the Cadillac. The Bucs lost a crucial game last week and so did the Dolphins. Yet, Gruden will have the Bucs to get back to Bucs football. This means to pound the ball with effective running and controlled passing. With Cadillac back, the Bucs will be capable of doing this. Yet the Dolphins will also have in their backfield -- Ricky Williams! Ricky will be fresh after his 4 game suspension and that is a major advantage for them. By the way, Zach Thomas is playing some incredible linebacking this year. He is everywhere and back to the old Zach. So is Jason Taylor!! Yet in the end, I have to pick Chucky and his Bucs!!

New England Patriots vs Denver Broncos - Patriots win by 7 points because of Belichick's offense and defense schemes. Talk about a very interesting match up -- Belichick vs Shanahan -- two guru's of the game!! The Broncos are playing much better now and Jake Plummer is not making the mistakes of last year. They are moving the ball around and have a tandem of backs -- Anderson and Tatum -- to take care of the running. Even the Broncos defense has stepped up more and more each week. Yet it will be not enough against the Champions -- with Tom Brady!! Yes, the Patriots are still the Patriots and they just find a way to win by the end of the game. Yes, they are still getting the criticism from the national sports media (hint, hint -- ESPN) yet they know how to turn the criticism around to fuel their hunger to win another game -- one game at a time. That's what Brady, Dillon and Branch will do on offense and the defense with Chad Brown stepping up at linebacker. This will be a classic matchup throughout the game and I have to admit these are my two favorite teams in the league so it's really tough! Yet, the champs and the PATRIOTS will prevail -- even at Mile High!

Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens - Ravens win by 3 points becaue of the Art Modell aura!! Yes, these two teams are apart of the Art Modell ownership legacy and even though Brian Billick doesn't deserve it, the Ravens will win. Somehow, Anthony Wright will make enough plays to score the necessary touchdown in the crucial moments. Of course, the Ravens defense will keep the Browns scoring low. I have to admit even Ray Lewis looks disgusted at his team's performance at time and boy did they look bad against the Lions last week! The Ravens prevail against the resurging Browns.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Steelers win by 3 points because of homefield advantage and the effects of Hines field and STEEL TRADITION!! The major news in Pittsburgh is the injury to big Ben Roethlishberger!! Well, it looks like he will be out for this game and Charlie Batch will take his place!! Even though Charlie is a veteran with much mileage, he is quite capable to lead this Steeler team on a successful win against the Jaguars!! Yet believe me the Jaguars will be coming with alot of heat on Batch and even the Bus!! So this game will be a very hard fought game. Fortunately for the Steelers, Hines Ward and my boy Randle El will make the big plays in the end. Oh yeah, watch out for superstar and all-pro safety Troy Polamalu! He is the real deal!!

Houston Texans vs Seattle Seahawks - Seahawks win by 17 points because the Texans are a very confused and disorganized team!! Talk about a major disappointment, the Texans have hit rock bottom!! Headcoach Tom Campers doesn't have an ideal on how to get this team to stepup any more. Their offensive philosophy is horrible and the personnel is pathetic, particularly the offensive line. Even David Carr looks like he doesn't belong in the league anymore!! As for the Seahawks, they have made the turn upwards and Matt Hasselbeck is stepping up big time!! Headcoach Mike Holmgren got this team coming together at the right time and watch for this team to EXLODE AGAINST THE TEXANS!!

St. Louis Rams vs Indianapolis Colts - Colts win by 20 points because of Peyton, Peyton, and Peyton! Another team on the ropes is the St. Louis Rams. Now that Headcoach Mike Martz is hospitalized and out indefinitely, the Rams will not have a direction on offense and particularly defense. So Marc Bulger will get more rattled than ever before!! I feel sorry for my boy Marshall Faulk because he has to come in so many times to help the running attack when it supposed to be in the hands of Steven Jackson! In any case, Peyton will light up the secondary of the Rams and scorch them big time!! Marvin Harrison will get his fair share of TDs. This make get ugly by the end of the day!!

Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans - Titans win by 3 points because of Steve McNair! Talk about a turnaround in a team, the Titans appear to be headed in the right direction. Last week, McNair and the Titans looked very good against the Texans and now here is their chance to make a statement game against the highly toughted Bengals!! Well, I think the Titans are ready! McNair has been lookin' exceptionally well and the Titans defense has truly stepped up with Keith Bulluck! As for Marvin Lewis Bengals, they have been reading too much of their press clippings about how good they are and now reality is starting to set in!! First and foremost, the Bengals need to execute and right now opponents are starting to put pressure on Carson Palmer and shutting down Rudi Johnson!! That means trouble for the Bengals. Watch for Jeff Fisher's team to go all out in this game and this will be a war!! Titans come out on top by the end!!

The Chiefs are still feeling bad against their demise against the Eagles a couple of weeks ago. Well, along come the Redskins at the right time. The Chiefs offense will get back in a groove and their defense will put alot of heat on Brunnell. The Redskins will not be able to move at all by the end!! So watch for Tony Gonzalez, Priest Holmes and the X factor to have a BIG DAY!!

Yes, even though the Raiders are not as talented as the Chargers, the Raiders have had 2 weeks to prepare for this game and they are more than ready!! This is THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON FOR THE RAIDERS AND THEY WILL TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF IT!! As for Marty Schoteinheimer, this will be the beginning of the end!! Just when Marty started to talk about how good his team is, that's when the team will self-destruct!! When they lost against the Steelers last week at home that was demoralizing for them. Somehow they lost their edge and I think that the Raiders willl take advantage of it.

Yes, I said the Cowboys because Headcoach Bill Parcells have got this team to work together in crucial situations despite the sideline arguments that Keyshawn wants to start with Bledsoe!! With Terry Glenn, KeyShawn Johnson and Patrick Clayton as wide receivers, Bledsoe has distributed the ball very well and they have made the crucial big plays. In this game, they will continue to do the same. As for the Eli Manning, he will get some additional heat in this game because Roy Williams will be coming with the delayed blitz again and again to test him. So Eli will have to check off several times in order to catch the Giants in the right matchups. On some plays, Plexico will take it to the house, but it will not be enough! This is a very tough game and even the Giants have the inside track, I have to go with the Cowboys due to the more experienced players!!

Minnesota Vikings vs Chicago Bears - Bears win by 14 points because of the total demise of the Vikings organization. Apparently, the Vikings players off-the-field antics is catching up with them particularly for cornerback Fred Smoot!! All the controversy this past week with the Vikings will cause them to completely lose focus and Kyle Orton and the Bears will take full advantage. Watch for Mushim Muhammed to have a big day!!

Carolina Panthers vs Detroit Lions - Lions win by 1 point because of their homefield advantage and their refusal to give in to mediocracy. The way the Lions played against the Ravens last week was very encouraging to Steve Mariucci so it looks like they are playing for pride now!! So now here comes their biggest challenge of the season -- the Carolina Panthers!! Believe it or not, the Lions could not have asked for a better opponent. The Panthers are not exactly playing their best ball so this game is ideal for the Lions to make a serious statement. Whether Joey Harrington plays well or not, the Lions defense will step up against the Jake Delhomme and make some big plays. In the end, the Lions will get a win -- the Roar is back in the Motor City!!

Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints - Falcons win by 17 points because Michael Vick is back and the Falcons are still mad from their lost to the Patriots. Yes, the Falcons are a big time team and they have to correct this team to win on the road and this is another ideal opponent for them. The Saints have just lost Duece McAlister for the rest of the season and they do not have an answer at all. Aaron Brooks has returned to his below average performance yet the Saints defense is playing better than average. In the end, the Falcons will not let this game get away -- they have too many weapons!!

Patriots Show They are Still Champions and Other NFL Surprise Wins!

Week #5 NFL Surprise Winners:

1. The New England Patriots win against the Falcons -- Just when all the football experts across the country, particularly the ESPN experts of Tom Jackson, Steve Young, Michael Irvin and Chris Berman thought the Patroits were finished, Tom Brady and the scrappy Patriots displayed a masterful game plan offensively and defensively to get a win against the very tough Atlanta Falcons. Even though Vick didn't play, the Falcons played an aggressive defense and made big plays offensively. Yet it was the champion-like quality of the Patriots that overcame all the week's criticism and doubters to take a stance and show that they are STILL THE CHAMPIONS. Bill Belichick went back to the basics and had Brady to call more running plays with Dillon and then pass to his tightends and wide receivers. Well, everyone stepped up BIG TIME including the veteran players on defense!! What I didn't like about the criticism against the Patriots was the nastiness coming from the National Sports media experts! Why did the Patriots receive such bad media attention when they have not done anything wrong just try to defend their Championship!! By the end of the weekend, the PATRIOTS SHOWED THAT THEY ARE STILL THE CHAMPIONS AND THEY PLAYED LIKE A CLASS ACT REGARDLESS OF THE ESPN SO-CALLED EXPERTS PREDICTIONS!!

2. The Pittsburgh Steelers win with a fieldgoal in the last few seconds against the San Diego Chargers in a Monday Night Thriller! Yes, once again, the ESPN experts (Stu, Jackson, Irvin and Jaws) were ALL WRONG IN THE PREDICTION! They predicted the Chargers to win and it was the Steelers and Ben Roethliesberger (who has a serious knee injury) and the Bus to win this game for the Steelers fans! Oh yeah, Marty Schottenheimer needs to keep his mouth shut until he wins a championship. Hey Marty, I remember your days with the Cleveland Browns and it wasn't good!

3. The Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre CRUSH THE Saints!! Just when all the so-called experts predicting the demise of Brett Favre, he comes out and scores 52 points against the Saints. Yes, this is Brett Favre who still got the zip and can make plays happen with ease. He needs a supporting cast and maybe now they will step up with him. Way to go BRETT FAVRE -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

4. The Dallas Cowboys put a hurtin' on the Eagles. The Cowboys thoroughly dominated the Eagles and Drew Bledsoe looked good in the pocket and hit Terry Glenn for a couple of touchdowns!! Hey Terrell, you didn't do a dance in the endzone this day either!

Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills - Dolphins win by 7 points because of a tenacious defense lead by Zach Thomas. Normally, I would have said the Bills would win at home but because of J.P. Losman inexperience and erractic play, the Dolphins will not only stay in this game but control the tempo of this game. It is apparent that Losman has not filled in like Headcoach Mularky thought he would so the pressure is on J.P. big time! For some reason he has not been throwing to superstar wide receiver Eric Moulds so that has tremendously been hurting his performance. As for the Dolphins, Gus Ferrotte is still in a groove and the Dolphins wide receivers have really stepped up their game. In addition to the upsurging offense, the Defense led by middle linebacker Zach Thomas is back in stride. Jason Taylor and Junior Seau are simply playing their best football in years. So yes, the Dolphins go north to Buffalo and get a win for new headcoach Saban!

New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons - Patriots win by 3 points because they are still the Champions. Wow, what a disappointing game for the Patriots last week when they got beat badly by the Chargers at home! The Patriots defense and offense simply got outplayed!! This hasn't happen in a long time and most players and fans were shocked! Headcoach Bill Bellichick simply said we have to eliminate the mistakes. Quarterback Tom Brady was very disappointed in his own performance and is determined to improve. Well, now they have to go on the road and play in the Georgia Dome against Michael Vick and the Falcons. This will be a big test for the Patriots going against a faster team in the Falcons! Yet somehow, someway, the Patriots will slow the Falcons offense up just enough and the Patriots offense will get it clicking against the corners of the Falcons. So I expect a very, very good game with the Patriots trying to make a statement in this game!

Tampa Bay Bucs vs New York Jets - Bucs win by 7 points because of their continuity and experience. It is desperation time for Headcoach Herman Edwards due to the fact that he is starting Vinny Testaverde at quarterback in only his second game with the team. Yes, Vinny is getting the start and deservingly so. He is experienced and he played with the Jets a few years ago. The key question is can Vinny spark the offense? Yes, Vinny will and he will be somewhat successful, but when the game gets in the 3rd quarter, Vinny will start to melt a bit because of his lack of conditioning! The Bucs defense will come with multiple blitzes and it will get ugly. Bucs win by the end.

Baltimore Ravens vs Detroit Lions - Lions win by 14 points because of their desperation for a win. Actually, the Lions are better than their record indicates, it is just the average to below average play by Joey Harrington that keeps the Lions from winning games. Well, with the below average performance of Raven's quarterback Anthony Wright, the Lions defense will be hyped for this game and they will prove to be the difference maker -- and not the Ravens defense with my boys Ray Lewis and Deion Sanders! Give this game up to Motown pride!

Cincinnati Bengals vs Jacksonville Jaguars - Bengals win by 3 points because they want to keep on winning! Headcoach Marvin Lewis has his sytem entirely in place and the Bengal players are responding. Even when they are not playing well, like they did against the Texans last week, the Bengals find a way to win! Well, in this game, Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson will have to hook up again and take it to the Jaguars secondary. That will be the key! In addition, Rudi Johnson must get going in order for the Bengals to maintain their balance of passing and running. As for the Jaguars, they are still trying to find themselves and they will show it in this game. Yet it will still be the Bengals team that will prevail.

Chicago Bears vs Cleveland Browns - Browns win by 7 points because they are in the dogpound of Cleveland! The Browns are playing hard and will finally get the advantage now that they are playing a home game. As for the Bears, Kyle Orton is a quality young quarterback who is making a difference with the Bears. The only problem is that the play calling has to be better for Orton so that it doesn't put him in situations for turnovers. Trent Dilfer will manage the Browns offense and get the most of his skilled players especially Braylon Edwards. In the end, Browns take this game to the dogpound!

Pittsburgh Steelers vs San Diego Chargers - Chargers win by 10 points because they are one of the hottest teams in the league right now. Because of the Chargers big win against the Patriots last week, they are feelin' very good about themselves -- rightly so! Headcoach Marty Schotteinheimer is allowing Drew Brees to get the matchups on his skilled players against the defense and they are benefitting from the new scheme! As for the Steelers, Headcoach Bill Cowher will be in for a surprise. Just when the Steelers thought they were a powerhouse, they face the Chargers! My boy Big Ben Roethlishberger (Go Miami U!) will learn another lesson in this game because the Chargers defense will be coming at him -- at all angles!! In the end, the Chargers will take it to the Steel Curtain!

Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans - Texans win by 7 points because of their homefield advantage. Talk about an ironic game -- two teams that have their origination in Houston. Although I think Steve McNair will definitely score several touchdowns in this game, it will be the Texans new offensive philosophy -- throw first, run later -- that will be the difference. The heat is definitely on Headcoach Dom Capers and if the Texans don't perform well in this game in front of his home crowd, it will get ugly soon. Yet, the Texans will pull out all stops in this game and get a convincing win.

Indianapolis Colts vs San Francisco 49ers - Colts win by 17 points because of Peyton, Peyton, Peyton! Need I say more! The Colts have a very easy season schedule and looks like they are matched up against a very inexperience secondary of the 49ers! That spells trouble for the 49ers. Yet the 49ers will start their number 1 rookie -- Alex Smith -- at quarterback. Will it make a difference for the 49ers! Yes, initially! Watch out for Dwight Freeney -- he will easily get 3 sacks in this game.

Washington Redskins vs Denver Broncos -- Broncos win by 14 points because it is payback time! Payback time will be sweet for my boy Champ Bailey who plays against his former teammates of the Redskins. Bailey will have fun going against Brunnell and taking on the new wide receivers! Watch for Champ to get a couple of interceptions in this game. Yes, Jake Plummer will roll left and roll right exploiting the secondary of the Redskins! The reality of the seaon for the Redskins will come rapidly crashing down in this game. Sorry about this Clinton Portis! The Broncos take it to the Mile High stadium house!

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys - Eagles win by 10 points because they believe that they are the best team in the league. Indeed, the Cowboys played well by the end of the game against the Raiders last week, but they still lost! Drew Bledsoe must be on his A game for this one and he most likely will be! This game will come down to the Eagles defense and Donovan McNabb takin' over again! Watch for Westbrook to go one on one with one of the linebackers and score again and again. The Eagles take it to the Cowboys!!

New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers - Packers win by 10 points and get their first win! Talk about a weird situation -- the Packers are winless! After last week's lost to the Panthers, Favre and the entire Packers team were mentally destroyed. So don't be surprised to see Brett Favre and the entire Packers team come out and put on a clinic in this game against the Saints. That's the attitude now and Headcoach Jim Haslett for the Saints arrived here in Lambeau field at the very wrong time. Packers dominate!

Carolina Panthers vs Arizona Cardinals - Panthers win by 7 points because of experience. This will be a better game than many expect. Jake Delhomme and Stephen Davis will get the Panthers offense rolling -- did you see how DeShaun Foster is running nowadays!! Awesome! Well, they will be determined despite the Cardinals new attitude with Cade McCowen. Julius Peppers will have get some big time sacks in this game and cause a crucial turnover against the Cardinals.

Seattle Seahawks vs St. Louis Rams - Rams win by 14 points because they are at home and it looks like they will be inspired by the latest information coming out of St. Louis. Apparently, Headcoach Mike Martz is not feelin' well and may have a serious infection which will return him to the hospital. Wow! Well, the Rams will respond with a phenomenial game and play well offensively and defensively. Watch for my boy Marshall Faulk to score a couple of touchdown in this game! In the end, the Rams will return to excellence and flex their muscles to overcome the pesky Seahawks!

NFL Football - Week 4 Predictions

Week #4

Buffalo Bills vs New Orleans Saints - Saints win by 10 points because they are a better team than the Bills. Although the Saints do not have a true homefield for the rest of this year, they will have a very inspired homefield game in San Antonio, Texas. Now that they got demoralized by the Vikings last week, the Sainst and Deuce McCalister will put a hurtin' on the very disappointing Buffalo Bills. Aaron Brooks will step it up as well as Joe Horn! As for the Bills, J.P. Losman has a very long way to go to mature into an average quarterback and their running game with Willis McGahee has been below average. If they don't get their talented wide receiver involved in this game like Eric "superstar" Molds, then it is going to be a long day for the Bills. Oh, by the way, Takeo Spikes is gone for the entire year on the Bills defense. He was the inspirational and extra talented linebacker that they need to stop the run. If London Fletcher and the other linebacker do not step up, then watch for the Deuce to run for over 100 yards!

San Diego Chargers vs New England Patriots - Patriots win by 10 points because they are STILL THE CHAMPIONS!! Last week, the Chargers crushed Eli Manning and the Giants. Yet this week is a completely different story. Now that go to New England and take on the Patriots. As for the Patriots, they are hurting even after the great win against the Steelers. Superstar safety Rodney Harrison is done for the year! What a loss. Then there is also the loss (for 8 games) running back Kelvin Faulk! The Patriots signed Amos Zerowe off the waivers to fill in for Faulk and one of the defensive backs will have to step up for the loss of Harrison. Yet if there is any team in the NFL that can bring in players to step up, it is the PATRIOTS. SOMEHOW AND SOMEWAY Bill Belichick will get his guys to rally around my boy Tom Brady, Corey Dillion, Deion Branch and the entire secondary to play up to the level that they are accustomed to. Watch for more zone blitzes by the Patriots and controlled passing. Last week, I didn't pick the Patriots because they didn't impress me the week before. Well, from this week on, I'm PICKIN THE PATRIOTS EVERY WEEK!!

New York Jets vs Baltimore Ravens - Ravens win by 3 points because of the demise of the Jets. Talk about an unlucky week for Headcoach Herman Edwards and the entire Jets organization. Within one weekend, they lose both of their quarterbacks for the year -- Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler!! As for Chad, it may be the end of his time with the Jets organization because he just came off of a shoulder injury -- now this! So guess what, all of a sudden, here comes a call from Vinny Testaverde -- former Jets quarterback several years ago. What did the Jets do? They said, hey Vinny you will be our man again at quarterback in another week! All in all, this is horrific for the Jets organization and the entire team. Somehow, Vinny and the rest of the Jets must pick up the slack and take it up another level. In fact, the Jets will play very inspired football this weekend. Unfortunately, it will be not enough against the winless Ravens. The Ravens need a win badly and because they are home and because Ray Lewis and the defense will take it up SEVERAL NOTCHES and come with multiple blitzes, the Ravens will win this one even despite Brian Billick's playcalling!

Houston Texans vs Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals win by 17 points because they are a much better team. Marvin Lewis has the Bengals playing very efficiently offensively and defensively that it is catching alot of teams by surprise. Carson Palmer is at the All-Pro level now along with Chad Johnson and Rudi Johnson. Additionally, the Bengals defense is rapidly becoming a force. As for the Texans, they are in serious trouble. Headcoach Dom Capers is on the hot seat as well as David Carr. There is no waiting time for them, they have to produce. Unfortunately, in this game, the Bengals will dominate.

Chicago Bears vs Cleveland Browns - Browns win by 3 points because of the Dogpound in Cleveland Stadium! Since the Bears have a rookie quarterback, Kyle Orton starting, the Browns will put extra pressure on him. The Browns have been more competitive in their games than opponents initially thought so in this game they will have their A game on. Watch for Dilfer to connect with Braylon Edwards and Andre Davis for big touchdowns.

Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans - Colts win by 7 points because of Peyton and their defense. Although I think that Steve McNair will definitely be very competitive and actually take it to the Colts defense and almost win this game, yet it will be the Colts to make the final points by the end of game. Watch out for Dwight Freeney to cause a major disruption on the Titans offensive line!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Denver Broncos - Broncos win by 3 points because of the Mile High air and crowd! Although the Jaguars have been playing very well and Leftwich is playing much better, it will be the Broncos that will take this game in the end. Surprisingly, Jake Plummer looked very good in the MNF game against the Chiefs so he may be in a groove finally. Then there is Mike Anderson who will pound the ball in the middle. Finally, the Broncos defense and Trevor Price are stepping up. This will be a very good intense game!!

Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs - Chiefs win by 3 points because of homefield advanatage and Arrowhead Stadium. This is a great game between two Dick Vermeil teams! Wow, McNabb and Owens against Green and Gonzales! Although McNabb will try the control passing attack and run Westbrook on draws and dump off plays, the Chiefs defense will be ready big time!! Patrick Surtain and Sammy Knight will be playing tight coverage so that will cut down on any long catches or runs. As for the Chiefs offense, Priest Holmes better get it cranked up and ready to roll. Green will find the X factor for more passes and the X factor must have a break out game soon and this maybe it!! In the end, this Chiefs team of Dick Vermeil will be victorious!!

Dallas Cowboys vs Oakland Raiders - Raiders win by 10 points because they need it BAD!! The Raiders are on the hot seat and they play just the right team in the Cowboys to get this win. By beating the Cowboys this weekend, the Raiders will have renewed spirit. Finally, Randy Moss will get more footballs thrown at him and he will score at least 2 touchdowns!! The Raiders defense will also step up and sack Drew Bledsoe on several downs and cause a turnover or two. In the end, it's the RAIDERS that will win. Hopefully, Al Davis will have some to smile about in the owner's box.

St. Louis Rams vs New York Giants - Giants win by 10 points because of homefield advantage. Marc Bulger will not be as successful this game because the Giants will mix up the coverages alot. The Giants will also crowd the line of scrimmage to cutdown the running attack! For the Rams, it looks like Marshall Faulk may get the start due to Stephen Jackson's injury - Go Marshall, Go Marshall. In any case, the Giants have a better defense than the Rams so Eli Manning will not have to score too many points.

Seattle Seahawks vs Washington Redskins - Redskins win by 7 points because the Seahawks do not play well on the road. Looks like Mike Holmgren's Seahawks will come into the Redskins park and get a big thumping by the Redskins tenacious defense. Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander will not be near as productive in this game due to the fact that the Redskins will play a very aggressive defense. As for the Redskins offense, Brunnell has been resurrected and he will be fairly effective hitting Santana Moss and David Patten for touchdowns. Enjoy it now Joe Gibbs becasue after this game, REALITY WILL SINK IN FAST FOR THE REDSKINS!!

Detroit Lions vs Tampa Bay Bucs - Bucs win by 17 points because they are very, very good! Headcoach Jon Gruden (Chucky is Back!!) has this Bucs team playing at a very high level. This may be the year of the Bucs!! The Bucs are so balanced it is ridiculous! The Lions and Headcoah Mariucci do not have a clue to attack this team and this maybe the last game that Joey Harrington will start. This will be a very ugly game for the Lions!!

Green Bay Packers vs Carolina Panthers - Panthers win by 14 points because the Packers are really bad!! I am starting to feel real sorry for Brett Favre due to the fact he doesn't have a supporting cast at all. In addition, the Packers defense is one of the worst in the league! Jake Delhomme and Stephen Davis will have a field day against the Packers. This game is about pride and the Panthers will have something to prove in this game.

Culpepper will attempt to keep his improving stats and for the most part, he will play better!! Yet it will be his supporting cast that will let him down again. As for Vick, let the good times roll! Warrick Dunn and T.J. Duckett will have a field day! The Falcons will be playing controlled yet confident against the Vikings!

S.F. 49ers vs Arizona Cardinals - 49ers win by 1 point because they are playing this game in Mexico City and not Sun Devil stadium in Arizona. Yes, this game will be played in Mexico City so who cares about homefield advantage. Now that Kurt Warner is injured and will not return until week 8, Josh McCown will give it his best attempt!! Oh well so much for a second string quarterback stepping up and meeting the challenge. Overall, I have been very disappointed on how the Cardinals are not playing a full 60 minute game! They start well but they look very bad by the end of the game. The same could be said of the 49ers but they have more experience than the Cardinals. In the end, this will be a very competitive game yet the 49ers appear to be more cohesive than the Cardinals at this time!

Week 3 - Broncos Dominate Chiefs

1. In the Monday Night Football classic at Denver's new Mile High stadium, the Denver Broncos dominated the Kansas City Chiefs from the very start of the game. Headcoach Mike Shanahan out schemed Dick Vermeil's Chiefs offensively and defensively. As we all know, the Broncos are a zone running-team! That's what they do best and that's what they did in this game. The first score was a classic zone running play by Mike Anderson who took it to the house on a long run for a TD! Once the running game worked for the Broncos, it opened up the passing game for Jake (the Snake) Plummer. I have to admit that Jake finally looked more comfortable in this offense than ever before. He rolled out left a two key touchdowns -- one in which he threw to my boy -- Rod Smith (Classic Hard-Nosed Wide Receiver) and the other in which Jake sprinted into the touchdown around the Chiefs defensive end! As for the Broncos defense, they stepped up big time particularly the front four and Trevor Price (Awesome!). They held the Chiefs running attack (Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson) in check! Since they couldn't get their running attack going, Trent Green had to throw more than he wanted. That's where the game turned to the advantage of the Broncos! The new Mile High Stadium along with the fans rockin' the stadium -- along with the great introduction by "The Rock!" (ex-wrestler and now movie star) -- the Broncos brought back that Bronco tradition -- LET'S ROCK THIS HOUSE!!

2. The Tampa Bay Bucs are a force. Of course, they are very solid on defense, yet it really is the play of Brian Griese, Cadillac Williams, Joey Galloway and Clayton which have provided the spark in the offense that Gruden (Chucky is back!) wanted. Watch for the Bucs to accomplish big things this year -- maybe even going deep into the playoffs!

3. Cincinnati Bengals dominated the Chicago Bears at Soldier's Field! The Bengals defense (schemed by Marvin Lewis) confused Kyle Orton and caused him to throw 5 interceptions? As the Bengals offense, it is the real deal. Carson Palmer will make the ALL PRO TEAM THIS YEAR as well as Rudi Johnson and Chad Johnson. You have to give it up to Chad Johnson each and every week because he says he will specifically beat the cornerback who is matched-up with him.

4. Minnesota Vikings dominated the Saints and Daunte Culpepper got back into his groove. It's good to see that once the Vikings settled down and work with the players that are on the team, then Culpepper will feel less pressure to perform.

5. Philadelphia Eagles comeback against the Raiders and win convincingly! McNabb and the boys looked shaky the first half but got it rolling towards the end!

6. Dallas Cowboys comeback against the 49ers showed how Drew Bredsoe still got the zip on his passes and KeyShawn Johnson (just throw me the ___ ball!) can make the big catches. Watch for Dallas to stay on the winning side for a while now!

7. GIVE IT UP TO ZACH THOMAS WHO HAD 7 TACKLES, INTERCEPTION AND FUMBLE RECOVERY AGAINST THE PANTHERS! ZACH IS BACK!!

Atlanta Falcons vs Buffalo Bills - Bills win by 7 points because of homefield advantage and their defense. Just last week, both teams loss in their second game. The Falcons loss against the Seahawks and if you look at that game, they were not into that game at all. Why? I think it was because the Falcons were on the road and had to travel to Seattle. Now, the Falcons are on the road again and have to travel to Buffalo! Well, it doesn't look good for Michael Vick and Headcoach Jim Mora. The key to this game is not J.P. Losman (he will eventually come around), but the defense of the Bills. The Bills defense have a way of stepping up particularly when they are at home. Takeo Spikes, Sam Adams, London Fletcher, Nate Clements, Lawyer Milloy and Troy Vincent will step up to shut down the Falcons offense! Yes, I said it, the defense of the Bills is the key and it will have to shut down the potent offense of the Falcons.

Carolina Panthers vs Miami Dolphins - Panthers win by 3 points because of a more balanced attack. Although the homefield advantage for the Dolphins is in their favor, it will be a more experienced and talented team of the Panther to win this game. Indeed, the Dolphins have a new attitude and playing much better this year already under Headcoach Nick Saban, yet it will not be enough against the very good defense of the Panthers and a solid offensive attack led by Jake Delhomme. Once Jake settles down, he will be able to move the ball down the field and get the matchups (Steve Smith on single coverage with a defensive back) that he wants. Additionally, now that Stephen Davis is in the lineup, the Panthers will start to grind it down the middle of the Dolphins defense. I'm sure Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor and Junior Seau will have something to do about stopping the Panthers running attack. That's why the Panthers have to attack via pass and get the individual matchups with the skilled wide receivers.

New England Patriots vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Steelers win by 3 points because of homefield advantage and more balanced attack. WOW, WHAT A MATCH-UP! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I AM PREDICTING AGAINST THE PATRIOTS BUT FOR RIGHTNOW, I HAVE TO GO IN THIS DIRECTION! Last week, the Patriots and Tom Brady made too many mistakes against the Panthers and that's why they loss the game. This week, if the Patriots make mistakes again, the Steelers will capitalize. The Patriots are in a situation where they need to get back to the basics and play their best AT ALL TIMES -- THAT INCLUDES BRADY!! I'm sure Bill Belichick will try to get his players to correct those mistakes, yet you don't know how exactly the team will respond. As for the Steelers, they are on a roll and they are feeling the Steeler Pride. Headcoach Cowher is saying all the right things to keep his team motivated and big Ben Roethlisberger (Miami University- Ohio grad) is still throwing well to execute the big plays. Hines Ward and Randle El will definitely challenge the Patriots secondary! The Steelers defense will come at Brady with multiple blitzes and shut down the running attack of the Patriots. Yet this will be a very hard fought game and the Patriots will give it their all despite being in Steeler country!!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs New York Jets - Jaguars win by 7 points because they are a deeper team than the Jets. Indeed the Jets won against the Dolphins last week, but that was the Dolphins! Now they play a powerhouse team in the Jaguars! I am still concerned with Chad Pennington and the running game with Curtis Martin. It is just that it is too predictable! That's why the Jaguars defense will completely stop the running attack and the throwing attack by Pennington. If the Jaguars can shut down Peyton Manning (like last week), I am sure they will confuse Chad Pennington. Once the Jaguars defense steps up again, the offense and Leftwich must step up. Their new offense should be in full throttle by now.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Chicago Bears - Bengals win by 3 points because they will execute better in crucial situations! This will be another outstanding game. I can't remember when the Bengals played the Bears, but this will be a classic matchup! Two Headcoaches -- Marvin Lewis (Bengals) and Lovie Smith (Bears) will showcase their schemes in this game. Last week, the Bears looked really good against the Lions (that's not saying much I know). Additionally, Kyle Orton (Purdue grad) is the real deal at quarterback with Thomas Jones and M. Muhammad bringing the attitude! Of course, there is the BEARS DEFENSE -- DA BEARS with Brian Urlacher and Mike Brown bringing the double blitzes! Yet, I think that the Bengals offense with Rudi Johnson, Chad Johnson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and of course maturing Carson Palmer will be able to score some key touchdowns!! This offense has alot of potential to score and get the individual matchups on the edges! As for the Bengals defense, Marvin Lewis will scheme just enough to confuse the rookie Kyle Orton to make a couple of critical mistakes. In the end, this is a classic game at Soldier's Field with the Bengals edging out DA BEARS!

Cleveland Browns vs Indianapolis Colts - Colts win by 17 point becasue Peyton is mad! Yes, Peyton Manning is mad because he only scored one touchdown last week and the Jaguars confused him all day long. Now, Peyton will go against a good defense yet not a spectacular defense. Thus Peyton will get the matchups against the Browns secondary on the corners that he wants. Then on defense, the Colts have Dwight Freeney who is a superduper pass rusher in which Trent Dilfer will not have enough time to throw the ball! In the end, this is another interesting matchup between two distinguishing Headcoaches -- Tony Dungy (Colts) and Romeo Crennel (Browns)!

Tennessee Titans vs St. Louis Rams - Rams win by 10 points because of homefield advantage. This is actually a better game than anticipated because the Titans have really stepped it up in such a short period of time. With Steve McNair truly back (wow, he is throwing better than ever!), the Titans are a serious force on offense. As for their defense, Keith Bullock is the enforcer that they need! The Titans weakness is their secondary in which Marc Bulger will exploit with Isaac Bruuuuuuce and Torry Holt! Look for Stephen Jackson and my boy Marshall Faulk (The Marshall Plan) to get some substantial yards in this game!

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos - Chiefs win by 3 points because of more balance -- offensively and defensively! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I'M PICKING THE CHIEFS BUT THAT'S HOW I SEE IT NOW UNTIL THE BRONCOS PROVE ME WRONG! Wow, what a game -- this is a war! The Chiefs are definitely the favorite due to their potent running attack (Holmes and Johnson) and passing attack with Gonzales, Dante Hall and Trent Green's maturity! The Chiefs also have a powerful offensive line! Now the Chiefs defense has stepped up big time and they were the difference makers in their win against the Raiders! As for Broncos, Headcoach Mike Shanahan is starting Dayne as the premier back because of Mike Anderson's injury. This is a very good move due to the fact that the Broncos offensive blocking scheme fits Ron Dayne's style of running -- zone running! Of course, my boy Rod Smith with get his catches! Yet it is the Broncos defense that needs to step up even more. Al Wilson and Ian Gold have been bringing their A game yet it will have to be the others to step up also. As for my boy, Champ Bailey, HE IS THE MAN AND HE MADE A SPECTACULAR INTERCEPTION LAST WEEK AGAINST DREW BREES (HE BROKE ON AN OUT ROUTE AND INTERCEPTED THE BALL THEN RAN IT BACK FOR A TD!). One person who needs to make some serious plays is John Lynch. Yes, I said it -- he is losing a step so it is all about positioning. Watch for the Chiefs to attack the deep safety and the Broncos other cornerback!

Oakland Raiders vs Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles win by 14 points because of Donovan McNabb and homefield advantage. Can you believe it, the Raiders will be 0-3 after this game and they even have Randy Moss!! What is wrong with the Raiders offense -- poor play calling!! They need to get Moss more into the game and Kerry Collins is not looking his way much! Collins is still throwing to Jerry Porter who is dependable but not a game breaker -- RANDY MOSS IS A GAME BREAKER!! Additionally, the Raiders defense is really not that great particularly their secondary -- they will get scorched in this game against McNabb. McNabb and the Eagles are back in a groove and they feel they have something to prove. Indeed, they will and even the Eagles defense with Brian Dawkins will put a hurtin' on one of the Raiders wide receivers!! Too much Eagle defense and the Philly crowd (Hey, somebody get me a low-cal Philly Cheesesteak -- hold the cheese!)

New York Giants vs San Diego Chargers - Chargers win by 14 points because they need a win BADLY!! Talk about a critical game forthe Chargers, but this one is for the entire season. Headcoach Marty Schottenheimer is feeling the big time heat again and he has to step up. We all know that this Charger team is a top quality team and it is just a matter of them executing more often throughout the game. Drew Brees will stop some of the errant passes and Tomlinson will run with abandonment!! Oh yes, all-pro Gates will out-perform Jeremy Shocky also. Gates has alot to prove so watch for him to have a breakout game. As for Chargers defense, they will come at Eli with everything including the kitchen sink!!! Donny Edwards will have an exceptional game. As for the Giants, their good times are coming to an abrupt end. Eli will look frustrated again and Tiki Barber will be contained. All in all, the Charger fans and Charger mania will be back in full force (Go, Chargers, San Diego Chargers!)

Dallas Cowboys vs S.F. 49ers - Cowboys win by 3 points because of Parcells attitude and prep for this game. Well, last week the Cowboys got surprised by the Redskins and if they don't get their act together, they just maybe get surprised by the 49ers!! Yet, if the Cowboys get back to basics and run the ball again and again with Julius Jones and then throw to KeyShawn and Terry Glenn, Drew Bledsoe and the offense should be alright! Yet the 49ers defense will be coming after Drew, so watch for a great matchup here! The 49ers offense will have to step up, but I think the Cowboys defense will be able to contain them by the end. As long as Roy Williams and Aaron Glenn do not allow any luck bombs their way like last week!

Tampa Bay Bucs vs Green Bay Packers- Bucs win by 17 points because of homefield advantage and Gruden's Chucky look! Talk about a turnaround, the Bucs are for REAL!! Now that Brian Griese is in a groove and knows his role, the Bucs can control the clock better with Cadillac Williams running with complete abandonment and tenacious strength! THE CADILLAC IS MY STYLE OF RUNNING BACK AND CAR! Wow, this guy is very impressive!! He changes the total complexity of the Bucs team and believe me Gruden will take full advantage of this new weapon on his offense!! Oh yeah, the Bucs defensive is still run by Monty Keepen who is the best!! As for the Packers and Brett Favre, this may be one of the worst years that the Packers will experience. Brett cannot do everything anymore and no one else is stepping up. As for the Packers defense, they are barely average. In the end, the Bucs will conquer the Lambeau field jinx!

New Orleans Saints vs Minnesota Vikings - Vikings win by 7 points because of homefield advantage. The Vikings need this win MORE THAN ANYTHING!! Daunte Culpepper has played very poorly and now they realize how bad it is to have an offense with a superstar like Randy Moss on their team!! It's tough! Yet in this game, everyone will step up on the Vikings offense! The Vikings defense including Antoine Winfield and Fred Smoot will play impressive and get back in the win column. As for the Saints, it looks like they have returned to Saints football -- below average!! Sorry about that Saints fans, I wish that I could have a better outcome but this looks like more a critical game for the Vikings than the Saints.

Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks - UPSET SPECIAL - Cardinals win by 3 points because they are hungrier for a win!! The Cardinals are more talented than their record shows and that they are an up and coming team. Headcoach Mike Holmgren's job is on the line and he has to make the playoffs this year and do well so these type of games, the Seahawks need to win. Matt Hasselbeck will show more consistency in the first and second half and he will rely more on Shaun Alexander to control the tempo of the offense. As for the Cardinals, Kurt Warner is looking solid in the pocket and is delivering the ball to his very talented wide receivers. I think if they get more of a running game going, then they can achieve more balance on offense. I also like the Cardinals yound defense -- they simply fly around the ball and Karlos Dansby is the real deal! He knows how to be around the ball all the time! Watch for the Cardinals defense to make this a very competitive game. In the end, the CARDINALS AND DENNIS GREEN WILL GET THEIR FIRST WIN!!

REDSKINS SURPRISE THE COWBOYS IN MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL GAME

Week #2: Game Analysis -- Surprise Winners!

1. The Washington Redskins beat the Cowboys (14-13) in the Monday Night Football thriller during the last few minutes of the game. Throughout the game, the Dallas Cowboys convincingly controlled this game! Parcells and Drew Bledsoe moved the ball around with quick dump off passes, roll out passes and tough runs by Julius Jones. Terry Glenn scorched the Redskins defensive backs again and again. Even KeyShawn Johnson made some quality catches. As for the Cowboys defense, they put pressure on new starter Brunnel all game long with disguised blitzes and bull rushes by the inside backers. Yet this game came down to 2 plays!!
Gibbs called the right plays at the right time (even though I'm not a big Joe Gibbs fan). Santana Moss ran pass Aaron Glenn and Roy Williams to make the big catch and score with only a few minutes left in the game. The long passes were well thrown by Brunnell (who turned back the hands of time)! So I give credit where it's due -- THE REDSKINS PULLED THIS ONE OUT AND NOW DANIEL SNYDER CAN DANCE AGAIN AND AGAIN IN THE OWNER BOX. THIS WILL GO DOWN IN THE REDSKINS HISTORY BOOKS. Savor the moment!

2. The Denver Broncos beat the San Diego Chargers by 3 points with a winning kick by Jason Elam. Great win for Coach Shanahan and bad situation with Marty Schottenheimer and his powerful Chargers! The Chargers will have to change things around in a hurry if they think they are going to make the playoffs!! It's starting to look ugly in San Diego!

3. Kansas City Chiefs beat the Oakland Raiders in Oakland and stopped the Raider jinx against them. It was an impressive win by the Chiefs in which the offense put the necessary points on the board, but it was the defense that stopped Kerry Collins and the Raiders offense on the last drive. Yes, Randy Moss is a great addition to the Raiders team, but they are still 0-2! Something has to change in Oakland!!

NFL Football - Podcast Show #2 - Terrell Owens Saga

This is the 2nd weekend of NFL games and it looks like the Philadelphia Eagles beat the S.F. 49ers convincingly! McNabb looked good in this game and so did Terrell Owens who scored two touchdown passes. Yet sport fans still do not know how to judge Terrell Owens and his professional relationship with McNabb and the rest of the team. As Owens says, "It's all business.!"
